Ocala Golf Club

There was no indication on Golf Now that they were working on front nine and we will play back nine twice. The manager did give us a $5 rebate. The condition of the 9 holes were excellent and the staff were helpful. This is a level course with championship greens. Fast with subtle breaks so be careful especially with downhill putts.

As one of the courses on the Florida Historic Golf Trail, I sought this course out to play. It has a great old feel to it . Wide open without much trouble anywhere. Very straight forward. Greens were fast and very puttable. Fairways were in fine shape and the rough didn't swallow your ball. Love the "old, historic" feel of this course. Will I be back, YES. Especially since my 80 year old Father liked playing this course also. We had a great time there.

Conditions have improved here dramatically since I last plaited here 2 months ago. Greens were excellent ans fairways and fee boxes were lush

We play this course more frequently of late and have come to enjoy it very much. It's kept up, the greens are great (very fast) and it's lots of fun!

I have played this course since 1980, I now live in tampa and had not played it in over a year. I noticed a very negative article in the Ocala paper concerning course condtions 1 week prior to my round . I played anyway because this is one of my all time favorite tracks. I was very pleasantly surprised. Course was absolutely in above average condition for this time of year.

Fairways and greens in good condition for all the heavy rains we had.

First time we played at this coarse. All the greens except one were in excellent shape. Fairways were very nice and in great shape. I would recommend this coarse to anyone.

A very enjoyable round. The course was in much better condition than most in the area.

Greens were beautiful and had a very nice speed about them. The fairways were well maintaines too. Friendly and attractive staff. Good time!

Wide open fairways not much water on the course. The greens are stil sandy but are playing well. I'll play it again. 9

The course is fun. Not so difficult to get players frustrated. Hot day but a good deal.

You never know that the course will be like. Sometimes it's good and other times the greens are unplayable. We must have timed it right because the course was much better than it was just a couple of months ago. Can't beat the Golfnow golf and lunch special.

Most of the greens are in great shape except for a couple that they always have had trouble with. I played from the whites instead of the blues this time since I was paired up with some of the older gentlemen. Still presented challenges with playing conservative or taking the aggressive line. Plenty of sand with a few areas of water. Place your orders for food on the tee box of hole 7 if you want something cooked and ready by the turn. The bar area keeps busy between 11-1 (lunch hours) with little staffing.

The course was in very good condition. Greens were in overall good shape for the time of year. I enjoyed the round the most I have in a long time because of the conditions and the friendly staff.

Good pace ! Tough pin placement was good for a challenge to accurate on shots !

This is the best Hot Deal course I've played this year.

Pace of play was great,played in 3 and a half hrs. only three greens had some rough spots.No ranger on the course so play can be slow at times.

This course used to be the Ocala muni course. They changed their name to improve their image, so I wasn't expecting too much. But this is a lovely course with plenty of challenges. Most of the holes are lovely to look at. The fairways were a little rough, but most courses in central Florida are like that now as the winter grasses make room for the summer grasses. The greens were rolling true. All in all a very nice experience and we will definetly play this course again.
