Great Condition
Had not played this course in over 4 years. Got a good Hot Deal rate so I decided to give it a try. Course is in GREAT SHAPE! Greens are AWESOME!
Only caution is that the course actually does not use tee times. It is first come first served so when booking a specific tee time on golf now it is a little misleading. With that being said, they have a starter who pairs everyone up waiting and makes sure that foursomes go off in each group. It is actually more organized than courses with tee times!! Pace of play is excellent. Will definitely go back. Mike and his staff run a great facility!!!
Excellent Value and Experience
Excellent public golf course. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Challenging bunkers - otherwise moderately difficult.
Riviera is a vintage gem
Very well kept course. Staff was extremely accommodating. Looks easy, but quite tricky around and on the greens. Some water, but not excessive. Only drawback is that water stations are not all maintained.
Riviera Country Club
Decent course just a mile or less from the Atlantic. It has pretty good greens as far as speed and condition. Its moderately short so it can be walked easily. i did not care for the seashells in the bunkers but everything else was good. Worth playing if your in the area....
Super impressed. Being the busy season in FL, I was expecting slow play. Teed off early and finished 18 holes in about 3.25 hrs. Fairway were nice and gave tight lies. Greens were very fast and smooth and managed to hold shots pretty well. This course does not really permit you to bounce shots onto the greens and most of greens are slightly elevated and pretty well protected by bunkers. Great breakfast in the clubhouse. Staff was super welcoming to an out of towner playing for the day. Would return if in the area.
Who woulda thunk it
I can't tell you why it took me so long, why I didn't think about it sooner. But this has to be one of the best courses in Volusia county. I have lived in the area for some time and just never thought we could have a course of this caliber in my back yard, gone are the days of driving all over trying to find good golf.
Thank you to the staff, see you again soon.

Interesting But
Classic old Fl course fairly straight away. No real highlight holes and overall not too threatening. Except strategic bunkers can get in the way and the exceptional greens that were smooth and QUICK! Pleasant, friendly staff, round well priced. For most pretty fair value.
Good course, friendly staff
Riviera is a good walkers course in nice condition with quality greens. Back nine is a good variety of interesting holes. Staff might be the friendliest in Daytona Beach.
Nice course
Golf course was in very good condition. Not very difficult because of the short yardage, but the holes were diverse and fair. I'll play again if I'm in the area.
Riviera Nov 1 2016
The Riviera Country Club was opened in 1953 and the club house is the original construction. It was clean but obviously older. The course was in great shape in spite of the recent Hurricane (Matthew).
Our only complaint was that they do not restrict walkers to late day Tee times as do many courses. The pace of play was pretty quick as we finished 18 holes in 3:15 but did experience several minutes wait times on several holes.
Amazing Suprise
I have lived in the area for 30 years and never played Rivera CC. This was a most pleasant surprise. The Golf course was in excellent condition, the sort of condition you would see at a 5 star resort course. From the tee boxes to the greens, everything was in excellent condition. The course design and layout is very interesting and fun to play, the greens are undulated and fast, the fairways are beautiful. My group will definitely be keeping Rivera in the rotation,
Good golf with excellent food!
Lunch alone was worth the trip to Riveria. However, the golf was pretty good too. The greens on the back need a little work but they are still very playable. Great little layout. The course isn't extremely long but it's fun and definitely a great value.
Good Course to Play
The course is a little short but almost all greens are surrounded by sand bunkers.
Great Golfing Experience
Website course description was very accurate. The course was challenging, but could have played it better if I had the printed suggested approach to each hole. Staff, pace of play & layout was excellent. Only concerns were some bad spots on greens & fairways. All courses in this area seem to have some bare spot problems ... don't know exactly why. Could be lack of rain or some nature caused problem. Greens on #14, #15 & #17 fall off to the left very steeply. Play to the middle of the green.
FIRST TIME BACK
RETURN TO GOLF AFTER TWO YEARS, THIS COURSE WAS IDEAL FOR MY CONDITIONS.
