Excellent, timeless Donald Ross layout...small greens ( which should be in amazing condition in the coming weeks), well taken care of bunkers, and deadly rough make this an excellent option for anyone south of Jacksonville.

Played here the second time around. The conditions of the course is terrible. Will be the last time I’ll be playing here.

Now I remember why I don’t go to this course. It was a great deal so cannot complain too much. Driving range was ok. You have to climb this huge hill, no bag stands, but the grass was good. I do not like the layout of the course. Many blind shots. Biggest complaints: anything off the fairway just ate your ball. Not high rough but high weeds. Spent a lot of time looking for balls that were just off fairway but buried. Greens bad conditions on most. If there was grass they were the slowest greens I have ever played! Had to smash the ball just to get it to the hole. One was a temporary green. People were very nice but long drive for me and too many nicer options for me closer to home.

Course has a fun and unique layout. Great value for the money. But in its current state, the greens are terrible. Sandy and bumpy. The rough was over grown, balls that rolled through the fairway disappeared because the grass was so tall

Layout and fairways are fine and fair. A lot of bunkers steep and very near pins. Greens in terrible shape though - very patchy and bumpy with many bare spots.

Staff very friendly.

I've been playing this course for almost 25 years, maybe 6-8 times/year and have seen it anywhere close to this bad. The greens are bad but it seems that other courses are going through a similar thing so I don't know.

What stands out to me is the sloppiness of the course and how high the grass is off the fairway. It's difficult to find your ball in there and it just looks bad as well. Very unkempt and unattractive, quite different from what it has traditionally been.

It's a mess, frankly. Cut the grass.

Played here many times over 25 years. My expectations are never high. WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN THIS COURSE! Teeboxes, horrible. Greens atrocious. Fairways good enough. It is a classic and cheap. Won't be back for a while.

Overall condition of tee boxes, fairways, rough, and especially the greens left a lot to be desired. Not sure what happened but it got out of control in a big way. I really like the course, but difficult to recommend at this time.

Play at Palatka once every month or so and usually enjoy the round. However, this time it was generally in poor to terrible shape. All greens not playable, tees had no grass, fairways some grass.

Not sure what recently happened to this fun layout, but it needs help. Price and snack bar are good.

I'll try again in a few months.

Beautiful old Golf course.. Course layout was fair-- But the fairways and greens were absolute horror-- Patchy greens that you could not even putt on-- Fairways had to pick and place due to lack of grass--- As I said... A beautiful course layout that has to heal !!

Great course for the money. Green had been recently punched, but should be good soon.

Course is in very rough shape. All greens are ate up with fungus or burnt up. Tried getting a drink while at the turn and no one was available at the window and don’t want to slow up the pace. No beverage cart out. Overall disappointing outing.

Quick round for a twosome midweek. Fun course, greens and tees need some work.

Overall a good day of golf.

Winter grass all dead, no summer grass grown in on greens, they are mostly dirt, not even sanded to be smoothed. Just hard pan like concrete. Play short and bounce up because greens will not hold most approach shots. Fairways are fine. Tee boxes fair but not great. Not flat and pretty hacked up, but better than the greens. At least they had ice and water in all of the coolers, which is good.
