Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course

New owner, Stanley Campbell has made some nice upgrades but while the routing is excellent, course conditions require serious improvement.

Love the course. Need a bit more grass in the fairways. The grenntees are to long First women. It is better to mix silver and green and then it is wonderful. Good challenge and bring spare ball for the water!!! You need to tryptophane that golf and challenge the 18th!!!

Tee time backup was 40 minutes followed by a 5 hour round.

We arrived at the course to find that tee times were delayed at least 30 minutes . Appears that the delay was due to either overbooking or not monitoring pace of play. After we teed off (late), we waited on every hole. It took our foursome 2 hours and 45 minutes to play nine holes. As we waited for the group in front of us to clear the green, two more foursomes pulled up behind us - a total of 4 foursomes on one Par 3! At that point, we decided to quit and go home. Then there was a large group partying in the parking lot and obstructing traffic. Very disappointed

I’ve played this course since 2014 when I moved to Florida. This formerly private club has gone downhill every year. New ownership has pledged to restore it but if anything it’s worse now than when they took over a couple of years ago. Greens roll ok but have been invaded with a multitude of grasses. Its only redeeming quality is the great layout. I would not take a visiting guest to this place with so many superior courses in close proximity.

Very underrated golf course. Greens are nice and fairways have improved in last year. 1 or 2 goofy holes but all in all good place to play.

Course is in much better shape than 2023. The greens in general are much better, most tee boxes are improved, and the course and grounds are being improved daily. Thank you. Our third visit this season.

I really enjoyed the course and the staff at Martin Downs Golf Course. My only issue was the pace of play from the groups ahead of me. As someone who’s extremely patient on the golf course and usually not bothered by the pace of play, it becomes a bit much when you encounter several groups of four taking practice swings, meticulously lining up putts, and shooting 10+ on every hole. It quickly gets old.

Tee boxes mostly weeds, many not level. Fairways also sprace grass. Greens generally rolled well but extremely fast given the ‘quality’ of the grass. I could be a beautiful course but needs a lot of work on the tees, fairways and greens.

Played it for last 8 years, about 10 total. Terrible greens, like concrete. Surprised and disappointed. Much too much money.

We have played this course the last 7 years, about 9 times total. I have never seen the greens so horrible. Hard as concrete. For lots of rain in January the course was dry, but really bad greens. Totally surprised and disappointed.
