Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course

We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. While that is not a make - or - break decision point for a golf course, it was very nice. The course was in good condition after an excessive amount of rain and colder than average temperatures.

The fairways are very thin and the greens could be a lot better.

The women at the food shack is amazing great personality and makes sure you get what you want

Love this course for the layout, I just wish they could get the crab grass in the fairways under control. The greens seemed like they were coming back but there’s a few with clumpy weeds on them making putting difficult. It also doesn’t help that there’s a bunch of people playing with no course etiquette, not repairing ball marks, driving their carts onto the greens, etc.

Very nice people who work there from the pro shop to the starter and cart guy and beverage girl. All top notch, but the greens are in really bad shape

Only played the front nine…. Staff was awesome to work with and the course was in nice shape…. Candidly a little on the wet side but still nice. Greens were fast and true. Nice open course that still challenges… not a lot of water but plenty of sand to give you fits! Nice course for the money. Will play again and look forward to experiencing the back 9.

The layout has potential. They need to get rid of weeds on the greens and fairways, tee boxes were horrible and there are more weeds than grass on the course.... so it has potential if they put money in to it!

Yes, it could be in better shape but the fairways have plenty of grass on them and we played winter rules and we’re just fine. there’s a little crabgrass here and there on the greens, but only one or two of them, and for the most part, they rolled smooth. I had a nice time and really loved the layout. I could take out the driver and bang it. I didn’t have to hit something short of the water, so it was not target like some other courses in Florida. The houses were far enough to the side with trees in between, so you didn’t really see them all that much, just a nice solid old school course to play golf where you rarely had houses on one side and Water on the other side. I would say it’s the perfect round if you’re coming down to Florida for the winter on a vacation to put maybe first on your list because the Fairways are super wide and there are some really really nice par threes where you have to carry over. Water… And the people are super nice.

Had a great day playing with my teenage boys. Good pace of play. Nice warm up cages. Friendly midpoint concessions and cart girl. Really enjoyed spending part of my day here. Great price for 9 holes.
