Crane Watch Club

We usually play here several times a month year round and it is a nice golf course with even nicer people running it and working there.

Martin County has as full a range of golf facilities as you're likely to find anywhere in the country. It has the highest of the high-end, like Michael Jordan's Grove XXIII and The Floridian. It also has its share of condo-complex golf and a muni that until recently was getting a bit run-down.

Formerly the Evergreen Club, Crane Watch has slid down a rung or two of that latter by virtue of no longer being private. But under new ownership, it seems to be on the upswing again as a semi-private facility. Residents who live in the houses around the course - each set on an acre of land - flock to play and hang out at the nicely appointed clubhouse. The course itself is mostly straightforward Florida golf, laid out east-west with small greens and a sometimes unusual assortment of bunker styles, pointing to the place still figuring out what it wants to be.

I would rank the course layout behind that of some of its nearby competitors, but the golf is good, conditions (especially the greens) are good and improving, the overall facilities are very nice and Sean, the Max Homa doppelganger/bag drop guy was one of the friendliest and most attentive I've encountered anywhere. That kid deserves a raise!

We have been playing here for 3 years now and course has never been in better shape, The layout is great, greens have improved and the staff from top to bottom is second to none,

Please put some ball washers and drinking water stations .it's hot out there and we need drinking water

A great layout and fun to play. It has been dry and it's aeration season so it will be in better shape soon. Friendliest helpful staff.

First time playing this awesome course. This is a great layout- super fun, but challenging where needed. One of the nicest courses I’ve played in awhile.

Only one downside is I wish I would have known about aerating. Made greens hard to play. But besides that - great time out on an awesome course.

First let me say The Evergreen Club was very nice. We played 18 in three hours. The fairways were long and very narrow. The fairways are hard and the lies are tight. The greens had just been aerated. For the money, this was a great deal. But we probably won’t play it again.

Not a fancy course. They are improving and spending to update. Greens were aerated not too long ago. So the greens were a little bumpy and slow. Fairways nice. Tee boxes ok. A few more directional markers would be helpful. Bathrooms ok. Some more water on the course to drink is needed..at the right price we play here

Fairways were pretty good however, do to the work being done on the greens, it was like putting through a sandbox. There was no communication about the greens prior to playing the course.

The course design is challenging and enjoyable. However, the past few dry season months have taken their toll on the fairways. Greens remain in good condition and the staff are very pleasant. Great price for the value!

First time playing there and definitely be going back soon!

Course was in good shape, tee boxes and greens were quality. Pace of play was good, we finished 18 holes in less than 3.5 hours. Staff was very friendly. Overall, a very positive experience.

Played 5 different courses since being here and this was the best of all. Grass in tee boxes was excellent, fairways were exceptional and greens were a total pleasure. I will be back again hopefully soon
