Buffalo Creek Golf Course

We played at 1 pm. We were told the pace of play was 1.5 hours on the front.From the 2nd hole onwards there were 3 groups on the hole ahead of us - which continued. At the turn, a new foursome appeared. So the 10 th hole had 4 groups on it. We left after the 11th hole. It was going to be over a 5 hr round.

First time playing Buffalo Creek. Great value, nice layout. Generous fairways and the greens rolled true.

Booked as a single and was paired with three other players. Pace of play left something to be desired as it took over five hours to finish the round. Course was in acceptable condition but there were a number of bare spots (covered by loose sand) on more than a few greens. Additionally, tee boxed had not been mowed and were a bit shaggy. Staff was, always, friendly and accommodating.

Played Buff Creek for first time in a while. Was recommended to play there as things I was told improved alot. Well, to much of my surprise, things not too good. Carts are old and need to be replaced. Tee boxes were like 2 inch tall rough. All overgrown! Greens were very for the most part terrible! Cut out areas all over filled with green har-tru sand u put on tennis courts! Few places on each green you could get a true roll to the hole. Fairways were fair to good. Course heavily played and flattened out in many areas. Course no way worth $60 per player. Reasonable rate would be $40-$45. Probably will not be back again for quite awhile.

Great improvement on the course and facilities however they allowed sixsomes to play and it was obvious the Marshall was avoiding the issue. The excuse of a 14 person tournament was ridiculous..

The course is in good shape but the total lack of marshaling and management allowing groups of six that have more interest in screwing around really make it hard to play here.

Pace of play is absolutely ridiculous.

MANAGEMENT- Do BETTER

Great course with lots of potential but a 5+ hr round due to overbooking is a result of poor management. Will not be back or recommend.

Ranger needs to do better about enforcing groups to move along when needed.

We had a group of 6 guys in front of our foursome who were part of a 2 man scramble. Ranger never once stopped by. Waiting 10-15 mins on each tee box to tee off.

Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $20 to go play Greenfield Plantation. That course is just as good if not better and the pace is good.

Buffalo Creek Management- Again, do better.

Fairways were nice since they have been over seeded.

Greens were poor. Many, many areas where there was no grass. Very slow pace on the greens.

Played mid-week, late morning round as a foursome following another foursome. Finished in exactly four hours. More than a few greens had sand spots to repair bare areas. Staff members Mark (carts) & Vincent (starter) were very friendly and welcoming. Will return soon as, for the price, this course is a decent value this time of year here in Saw Florida.

If you're looking to play affordable golf in the Bradenton Ellenton area this is the course to play. It isn't overpriced and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The layout of the course is challenging and some holes do play longer than they are. And yes it could be better groomed but still a good course to play.
