Buffalo Creek Golf Course

I used to play this course, but then it seemed to throated. I was pleasantly surprised that the course is much improved. We found it to be a great value and certainly will be playing again.

The course was pretty rough in places. Lack of grass in fairways. Also some greens were burned out in places. Our weather hasn't been perfect but the rough was 6" anyway. Lost balls within a few feet of the fairway. There was mowing going on but around tee boxes and greens. I have played there numerous times in the past. These were my worst conditions.

This is a fun place to play golf. The starter we had was fun and respectful. He spaced us out, so the pace of play was nice. The only issue we had was just off the fairway(rough) was longer than usual. It made it very difficult to find your ball, when you hit it just off the fairway. Other then that we had a great time. Going again soon.

You can’t think it’s a mega golf course for this price.

Buffalo Creek is a challenging layout but has gotten a lot of rain

Sometimes tough to tell the rough from the fairways and greens were incredibly slow

Remember only one green with turf damage

Once it dries out and they are able to cut the greens and the fairways, it should be good

Give it acouple of months before heading back. Nice people, friendly guest, fair price, usually in good shape

Maybe November/Dec a better time

Normally this is a nice course to play on. Unfortunately, on this day the course was wet and cart path only. They offered to reschedule but I decided to play and planned on walking a lot. The course was wet but did start to dry a bit by the afternoon.

Beautiful day for golf. However, the pace of play made the experience awful. Each hole, we had to wait at least 15 minutes before teeing off. The greens were rough, which made your putt bounce around. Lost several balls because we simply couldn't find it in the second cut. We spoke to the ranger and starter about people jumping holes, and the pace of the game, but the ranger insisted we were on a regular pace. Should of started some pairs or foursomes at hole 10.

Ranger abruptly interupts my buddy and I at Hole #9. He pulled right up in front of us mid game accuses us of slowing down the entire line of players behind us. We informed him an older couples group had us waiting five minutes for every hit up to the green/hole from T off to Hole all nine holes we played. We were on our last fairway hit to the green on Hole #9 and ranger told us to hurry up and didn't acknowledge our statement of the couples in front of us. He blew it off and angrily said hurry up.

We paid for 18 holes but decided it wasnt even worth playing the other 9 due to rude urgency to hurry up our game.

I don't think anyone wants to be rushed on a calm day of golf.

Course price is good, club has very minimal. Staff is not friendly. Only the starter was from Boston. No cart girl but won’t allow coolers. Fairs good rough is deep needs to be cut. Tee boxes decent.
