Buffalo Creek Golf Course

Lost more balls in the ruff being that it was long. Not worth the price I paid because of this. I would have played another course. I am a returning golfer as I like the course layout and the friendly staff. I'm sure at some point the ruff will be cut, but before I reserve a T-Time. I will make sure the ruff is in fact cut.

They haven’t mowed in quite some time. Kids finding your ball goodbye if you ball rolls off fairways or greens.

Me and a buddy recently played here and the course is fun and the layout is good but the grass in the rough was way to long and we struggled to find our balls even if they were just a few yards from the fairway.

You go from fairway to 8 inch rough. If you hit the ball 5 yards of of the greens you will lose your ball. They need to take better care of the course. They should charge only $20 for 18 in that condition

pace was slow at times, especially when singles ahead would play 2 balls. could use a Marshall on the course.

I like the layout of this course. The office staff I spoke to on arrival is, just not very talkative and answers questions in a very terse manner. The cart staff is very friendly and cordial. The course itself is not very well kept, minimal fairway grass to hit off, it just does not live up to its rating as far as other courses in the area. While the cost of playing Buffalo Creek was very economical, I only play this course maybe once every season because of the ‘grass less’ fairways and the office staff,

I’ve played this course several times and previously enjoyed it, but conditions have declined. The rough had not been. It in quite some time and was almost 2 ft long in many places. This lead to not being able to find your golf ball even when you saw it land, causing almost everyone on the course to spend excessive time searching. Combine that with the seven minute tee time intervals they use and the pace was brutally slow. We gave up and went home after 5 hours, only completing 15 holes.

The staff there is not friendly at all, the golf course is a happy place. It’s hard to play here because the grass is too tall. It’s very hard to find your ball, because there is a bunch of white mushrooms all over the course. Beautiful course, they just don’t maintain it the way it should.

The course used to be in pretty great shape for a county course. Now, since it's maintenence been outsourced, it's in lousy shape. 8" rough just off the fairways...total lack of mowing around the greens. It's looking like more of a cow pasture. What a shame.

Used to be my go to course but this last time course was in awful shape. Seemed like it hasn’t been mowed in weeks. Pace was slow because it took everyone so long to find their ball. Took 5min to find a ball 5 yards off the green. It’s a shame, hopefully they can turn it around.

Played early afternoon, pace was great, hardly anyone out there, course was in ok shape, greens were good which is important, was real wet due to rain but that’s summer golf. Rough hadn’t been mown in a long time. Maybe they are hosting the US Open next year lol Love the creek, will be back.

Keep the ball in the fairway. If it lands in the rough, it's gone. Lost more balls in 1 round here than I've lost all year.

Great course & people. Wish they'd address a couple of issues.

This is my home course so I’ve played here very often. It hadn’t been mowed. It was awful. You would lose the ball 1 foot out of the fairway. Bunkers had grass growing in all of them. I know it’s a county course but I’ve played here a lot and this was easily the worst I’ve ever seen it

The rough was overgrown throughout the course. Heard from someone there that they're missing a mower attachment. That makes it 2 weeks in a row that the conditions were almost unplayable. If you were off the fairway by a foot, it was probably a lost ball.

Love playing here but this time the grass was just too long. Made it tough to find the balls.

The grass was not cut properly. The first cut was too high. Lots of lost balls because grass not far from fairway and around some trees and sand were not cut. Hey guys…this is not the open. 🥴

I’ve never been more disappointed than I was today. There’s no reason to spend 1 hr out of a rd looking for golf balls. I’m talking golf balls that HIT the fairway and maybe roll off no more than 2 feet. Lost 6+ balls that at any time would be easy to find. Rain is no excuse. No other course has this issue. Fix it…..

Buffalo Creek is a great course to play from beginner to advanced. Staff is nice, pace of play is decent. If I was to mention one negative as minor as it is, the rough just off the fairway and greens is pretty high right now. It did rain so that may be why, however it was hard to track any ball that was not directly in the fairway.
