About
Bay Point Golf Club's Nicklaus Course at Sheraton Bay Point Resort is the only Nicklaus Design course in Northwest Florida. The golf course was formerly Lagoon Legend, which had a reputation for being one of the Florida Panhandle's toughest layouts. In 2004, the golf course closed and underwent a major renovation by the Nicklaus Design team. It reopened a year later with rave reviews. The redesign included restructuring the tees, greens, and bunkers and also re-contouring the fairways. The scenic landscape of scrub oaks, towering pines, and saltwater marshes was carefully preserved though. The golf course maintained the challenging aspects of the original but infused a play-ability that makes it accessible to all skill levels. Also like the former course, the new Nicklaus design offers the same stunning views of St. Andrew's Bay. In the fall of 2018, the Nicklaus Course completed a greens conversion to Tif-Eagle Bermuda-grass greens to bring championship greens to a championship course. Bay Point Golf Club has won the Panama City News Herald's "Best of Bay" in 2016, 2017, and 2018. The Nicklaus Course has hosted US Open Local qualifiers and is a home course of the FSU Women's Golf Team and will host their Division 1 Invitational in February of 2020.

Golf Now Hot Deal Great Value
Fantastic course, great shape and the greens are excellent
Overpriced for course conditions and amenities. I have played far better courses for less money but they are one of only a few courses in town.
Great course
We had a great time , conditions were excellent, greens were perfect and the price was a Hot deal of a $40 savings from the regular price. There was no one in front of us all day due to a later tee time 1:00 and played in less than 4 hours.
Fall Get Away
My wife and I came down on a long weekend golf trip. The starter and beverage cart lady are top notch. We have played here numerous times before and have always enjoyed this course. The greens were slow and the women’s tee boxes not in good shape. They have put in mats on their driving range which I’m not a fan of. Would be ok if I could carry a mat with me while i played. Normally everything is in great shape. We had planned on playing here another day until we played today. Very pricey for the shape it was in. Normally in great shape. We will definitely play here again, just knowing how it usually is.
Fun
very enjoyable round. for most parts the course was in very good condition. the tee boxes left a little to be desired. the greens were just a tad slow.
Good value with hot deal tee time. Would have been a bit pricey otherwise. Many courses in the area charging high rates but are virtually empty.
Course condition and price.
Disapointed with the greens. They were rough and very bumpy.. The rest of the course was good. Overpriced but that seems to be the norm in this area. Canadian satisfaction. Ok. Will play it again while I'm here.
Bay Point
Course was in much better shape in October than July when I played it last. Greens were bumpy but not awful. Layout is great. You don’t pass pro shop or bar on the turn but cart girl was great about being around. Only complaint is the price. With my golf now deal it was very fair. The standard rate of
$130 is too expensive for the quality in my opinion. Compared to the other options in PCB it’s the best course around.
PCB at it best
I love this course and will play every time I go to PCB. It plays different every time...wait, maybe it is me that plays different. Oh well it is super no matter how many times I find water or sand!

Best in Area
Not a lot of competition in area but I always enjoy playing here! Greens were slow and bumpy but other than that, everything else was very good!
