About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Definitely want to play it agaim
The course was in great shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grill had excellent food. Driving range were mats, only irons and hybrids allowed Very nice day
Legacy was legendary… on a Hot Deal.
I used to play this course more often when it was called, Holiday, but stopped after the rebranding to become Legacy, when the rates soared to around $120.
On 12/02 I secured a Hot Deal and paid $71 w/fees and had a great time. The $120 fee is not warranted, in my opinion.
Thanksgiving week Golf
My wife and I took a week off from work during Thanksgiving to come down from Ky to play some golf. The Legacy did not disappoint. The course was in great condition. The fairways and greens were in great shape. There were a couple of tee boxes that needed a little TLC but overall no complaints. The starter and the bar staff were very friendly and informative. If you’ve never tried a Calamity Jane beer, try one. PGA beer named after Bobby Jones’s putter. Good week will definitely come back.
Friendly staff
Staff was friend but the pace of play had to be some of the worst I’ve seen. Group of 5 played in front of us and wouldn’t let us pass through as we were a group of 2. Extremely slow, course was good outside of this, 2 or 3 greens in rough shape but everything else was great

There staff are not friendly to TeeOff customers.
they do not like TeeOff’s compensation to the course and they express their frustration to TeeOff customers
At the tee time , starter insisted ride with a fellow golfer unknown to me(I booked as a single) after I explained that I may have leave before finishing 18 holes. No single riding TeeOff customer.
So I asked if someone could pick me up if needed. Pro shop open until 3:30 I called at 3:16 for ride back to clubhouse. No answer after 5 calls and had carry my bag from the 14th green to clubhouse

Course was in good shape and flowed nicely. The greens were slow. There is a lot of water. I think playing again will help in knowing the course.

The course was OK, The staff was OK, the pace of play was great
Fun course to play. Course is in good condition it was a little expensive but the staff and amenities make up for it
