About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Great track .
I’ve played here since the late 90s. The greens have always been the best around . Great staff as well .
Sun on Sunday afternoon
Had a little time while my wife shopped, and Legacy was a mile away. Pleased by myself and enjoyed the round. Several people allowed me to play through which made the round go smoothly and fast. Finished in around 2 hours. Greens were fast and true, failrway was fine while the rough was spotty and needed work. All in all, enjoyed the day.
Played as a twosome and no waiting.
GPS had pins in wrong location, and the person in the pro shop said maintenance took care of that and had no solution.
Greens were good.
Course was ok. Not a $100 course. But everything down here is way overpriced.

Awesome place to play
My wife and I played here last year for the first time. We enjoyed it so much we came this year. Very nice people and the course is in pristine condition.
Rangers needed
Rangers to help encourage pace would be nice.

Great experience!
We had a great experience at Legacy. We were met at our car by a friendly young man who brought us a cart complete with two bottles of water and a quick orientation showing us where to go. The course itself is in fantastic condition and was challenging. I spent too much time in bunkers though. We definitely look forward to coming back.
