About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Vacation golf trip
I booked a tee time for my wife and I on golf now. We got the hot deal. They put us with a couple of young guys originally from Washington and New York and now they live here. They were very polite and fun to play with. The course was in great shape. The guy from Washington and myself birdied the first hole and we knew then we were going to get along just fine. The pace of play was excellent. With the four of us just around 4 hours. I recommend this course if you’re in PCB. Good luck and enjoy your round.
Last minute gem.
Came into town and on the spur of the moment decided to play some golf. Checked out different courses. This had the best price. Had a fantastic time. Good layout - surprisingly scenic. Very helpful and friendly staff. We would recommend to anybody!!
Amazingly, we owned the course. Closest group was eight holes behind us. Never saw anybody in front of us. We were very lucky that day.
Great Course, Great Shape
Throughly enjoyed my round. Greens were perfectly rolled. Great conditions throughout the course.
Looking Good
I will say over the years I have played this course a dozen plus times. Because of the cost, I have not played there in about three years. I paid $90 on GolfNow and I must say the course was excellent. The greens rolled really well and the fairways for the most part were in great condition. I can’t afford to play there on a regular basis, but really did enjoy my round. I travel between Atlanta and PCB on a regular basis. Love the course just wish it was a little more affordable.
Closed with no explanation
We booked our tee time online through GN. Arrived twenty minutes before and the place was closed. No sign on the door, no explanation. It’s a great course, hopefully there’s a logical reason why they didn’t open on a Saturday. Returned 5 hours later, still closed, and still no sign.
Challenging course from any tees
Legacy has been redone in the past several years and is now one of the best courses you can play in the Panama City Beach area. After a couple of straightforward opening holes, the course has some trick ones that appear short until you have to work your way around well-placed trees and water hazards. The pace of play in the morning, even on a busy holiday weekend, was excellent. We finished in under four hours on a crowded day!

Great course, open enough for an amateur with some tricky holes for the scratch golfers. Greens and fairways were in great shape, would definitely play again

Overall a nice course in good shape. Unfortunately, the course was very wet and restricted to cart path only. On a day this hot it made overall playing conditions difficult.
