About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Very nice, good value for money
This course has a high end feel. Grounds were in GREAT shape. Pretty wide fairways helped with score. Staff was very helpful in adjusting tee time. Italian sub from 19th hole was good. Relative to other courses, it is in a convenient location just off 98.
Long challenging course at a good value
Played Legacy twice in the last two days with a group. Everyone was very satisfied and impressed with the course. Challenging course because every hole is very long, like tournament length long. No short par 3s or par 4s. You have to hit solid shots to score well with every swing. Greens are fast but are well taken care of with some spots under repair (but are repaired well so you can put through them). Fairways are in excellent condition. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. This is not a 5 star course, but it is a solid 4 star course that is affordable in a tourist heavy area (where rates are much higher for top 5 star courses). Highly recommend and would play again when we come back to vacation in this area.
A quiet Sunday afternoon
It was a good day for a walk in the park, but fortunately for me I had my clubs. Course was in good shape. Thought it was interesting that they had indicated that the sand traps were under repair when they looked.better then some of the traps back home! Would come back & play again.

Nice
Visiting the area and played with my son and son-in-law. The course was in very good shape with the exception of the greens that had been sanded but they were consistent.
Best Course in Panama City Beach
Tony the starter was great - allowed us to tee off later and was very accommodating. Played twice here in a week and will definitely be back. Course was in great shape as well.
A bit overpriced
Played the course several years ago when it was called Holliday Golf Course.
Golf cart had annoying "locked out' messages frequently, even on cart paths! Required you to back up to get out of the locked out condition. Sometimes it would cycle from locked out to unlocked several times. The GPS was nice, but work needs to be done on "locked out" areas. Course was OK, but lots of poa annua on the greens. The "Silver" tees were a bit challenging for the over-80 age players.. If I played the course again I'd go to the red tees.
Decent Course
A pretty decent course in the PCB area. Good condition. Nice layout. Some challenging holes. Staff was a bit surly on the day I played. Starter was downright unpleasant which marred an otherwise pleasant experience. Not sure if I'll be back.
Golf
Course was ok and greens where a little fast but overall not bad for the price I paid on Golf now but not worth the full price if I had not gotten a deal
Spring Break Golf
Met up with a high school friend to play some golf in Panama City. Worth the drive and had a good time. A little pricier than what it used to be for an above average course.
Like The Course But Conditions Are Not Up To Par
We really enjoyed playing legacy, but this time the The course was not in good condition
I know it will be back. I think I’ll give it a month and try again
Course played very well today. A few issues with the greens but minor.
My Final Round @ Legacy Golf Course
Alas, I'm heading back to Canada and my snowbird golf is complete for this winter. I enjoyed a total of 16 rounds at the Legacy Golf Course during my stay in PCB, Florida. I thoroughly enjoyed this course; nearly always being added to a group of fellow-snowbirds and / or retirees. I can recommend this course for fellow "winter golf" enthusiasts. I'll hope to be back in future winters.
