About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Awesome Course / Staff
My Wife and I played here for the first time 10/7/2023. Booked our tee time on Golf Now app. The staff was very welcoming to us upon our arrival. The course was in great shape. Definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend this course/people
Hidden gem
We enjoyed playing Legacy. Can’t hit driver or woods on the range but the staff was super friendly and the greens roll true. A little maintenance going on but it did not interfere with our round. Afternoon rate of $85 is pretty reasonable for the area.
Difficult missed opportunity
Booked on golfnow. Second time during vacation. Following much rain, showed up at the golf course. Although open not playable. Legacy couldn't cancel my foursome. Called Golfnow, "computer" said would not accept cancelation. 45 minutes before tee time. Charged $280. Been using Golfnow for years. Can't afford these issues.
Greens and fairways were great!
Played here Sunday and came back again Monday. Tom was so friendly. Beats the pants off Signal Hill. Worth the extra money. Pace of play wasn’t bad and only noticed it more since we were a twosome who played fast and kept it in the fairway. Still a fair round time of right at four hours. Maybe less.

Nice wide course. Friendly staff. Played pretty quick.
Must Play for all levels.
Would have given an excellent for course condition, but the greens were to dressed and then mowed which raised the difficulty of reading putts with the sand. The fairways and tee box's were excellent. Difficult to lose your ball when missing the fairway, the underbrush was well maintained. Must have been a fluke but, had to wait several times for mowers to clear out of our play area, they finished their job before moving on. Thought that was strange making us wait!
First time to play course
I’ve played better and I’ve played worse courses in the area. Not worth the early price but worth afternoon price or hot deal pricing. Overall the course had a great layout and nice greens. A little trouble around the fairways with some water but not an issue. I would recommend this course to play if your in the area but again get the hot deal if possible.
Great shape
This is one of the 5-6 courses I play as a local. Really enjoyable round yesterday. Course is in great shape. Greens deep punched a couple of weeks ago but rolled true.
Legacy revier
The course had recently plugged the greens, but they were very playable. The overall condition of the course was good. However, there are a lot of weeks growing around the greens that do affect the playability and influence what shot you must play in the short game. There is no putting from the fringes.

Great layout & in great shape . Would definitely play again.
Great course
The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because they had just seeded the greens. They are working on the course to make it truly "premier" and it shows. Love this place! Staff are great and the amenities are superior.
