About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Horrible rup off with a very unfriendly bar lady
The course was un bad shape especially the greens. Bare spots on the greens, weeds growing on the greens. Where I'm from that course would be $40 but we payed $110 for a burnt up course. Also went to the bar/ snackshop on the turn. Asked what was in the breakfast burrito & was told, then asked what was in the breakfast sandwich (because thata how they are listed on the menu) & was told whatever she wanted to put on it. Then asked me what I wanted very rudely. As Im standing there kind of wondering why she was so rude she looks to the other people & asks them what they wanted & explained everything to them. Not only that she offered to put extra ingredients on their food. Couldn't believe it. I have never left a revues like this in my life but I'm a biracial man & I can't help but think.... well you know. Will never go there again & you shouldn't either.
Probably will not return
I signed up for an 11:50 HotDeal tee time. Got there early to find hardly any other golfers on the course. I asked if I could go ahead and start but wasn’t allowed to because I had signed up for the discount. Another golfer showed up a little later and they wouldn’t allow him to start either. Ended up starting as a foursome with other groups behind us. They had to wait for us on several holes. This could’ve been avoided by allowing an early start on a near empty course. The greens were in rough shape as well.

Vacation Time
Checked in girl at desk not very friendly, played behind a 5some for 9 holes, didn’t expect that at this course, nice course layout but greens were really bumpy..
Course should be at the $65 rate at most. Not worth $110. The layout is kind of funky with 5 or 6 doglegs. Greens were hard as a rock so approach shots were either on false fronts or bouncing off back.
Good spot located right off the strip. Overall well maintained, greens rolled pretty fair.
Not Worth The Money or Trouble
Cost for what you get is not worth it. Also I’m glad I have the GolfNow App because trying to book a tee time here over the phone is a nightmare.

Greens were not in the best shape, especially for this time of year, could be a tough summer there
Vacation golf
Nice course. Good pace of play 4 hrs. .generous fairways. Greens were well laid out. Not too fast. Overall a pleasant experience GPS in all the carts. This is not a destination golf course like pebble beach. . It is an enjoyable day away from the children ,beach, and shopping. . I would happily play again.
greens need work
everything BUT the greens are good; I’ve played on greens that were just aerated that were better than these; They need water, and rolled; the fertilizer they had down wont do anything with out water.
