About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Thanksgiving Golf
Played golf on Thanksgiving Day and the weather was very nice, just a little breezy. The guy working in the Pro Shop must have been upset for having to work, you could tell he did not want to be at work. LOL
The greens are always in good shape.
Fast Greens
Greens where very fast with lots of break. The 12:51 tee time did not allow enough time to complete the round before dark.. will play here again but with an earlier tee time.
Another good one!
Always a challenge, even when you played it within the last month. Just can't seem to get a handle on the greens...maybe next time.
Teemed up with nice folks who set the bar.
A Very Enjoyable Round of Golf!!
A very pleasant day of golf!! The course is in very good shape and the greens provided an enjoyable challenge! After experiencing Hurricane Michael just 13 months ago, the maintenance staff needs to be applauded for their performance.. Another must play if you're in the Panama City Beach, Florida area. Minutes away from the beaches!!

Holiday Golf Course
Our golfnow tee time was 12:33 but we were early and ready to play by 11:55. The starter told us we had to wait. We have played here several times in the past few weeks and this was the first time we were told to wait. Not one group teed off before us and then four groups were sent out one after the other. What would it have hurt to let us out early and not jam up all the groups? Probably won’t be back at Holiday for a while. We’ll go to Panama Country Club.
Staying a month near by
I finally played the main course, showed up as a single at 8am , knowing I saw on golf now they had openings for 1 or 2 players that morning, young man behind counter said he had no openings until 10:30, I had bought a 10 round card months before, so I took a round at 10:30. While I chipped and putting on the green near by, I watched a few pairs go off that I could of joined, a few groups later a single man went to the tee , I walked over and asked to join him , no problem, teed off 45 minutes early than my tee time, you know the so called times that weren't available. Thick course really goes out of there way to push members first,. Do not play here if there member DOG FIGHT is on the course it will slow the course down to a crawl , they play in two fivesomes, management will not stop them!!!

Enjoyable but challenging
As a single, I was matched up with a couple and a single fellow whose wife was along for the ride.
Everyone very congenial & fun to be with. The course was in good shape although I did have a putting issue with FAST greens....just my lack of ability. It was a bit slow & took almost 4 hrs. to do 18. Daylight is an issue at that time of day.

I’ve been vacationing in the area for years and always wanted to play this course, especially since they claim to have best greens on the beach. Most times I’ve been here the greens fees were rather exorbitant so when I saw a deal on GolfNow just after 2pm I decided to give it a try. Paired up with three others which was ok. Staff in pro shop was friendly, starter let a twosome out ahead of us but I think they were members and they moved on by #3. Course was better than I expected but compared to others in the area that also offer online discounts, it’s really nothing to brag about, especially if you’re paying full price. Pace of play was good until we caught up with another foursome on #10 then it was slow going the rest of the way in. Greens and fairways in very good condition. I’d play it again if I could get the same deal.

Good conditions
You can’t hit woods or drivers at the range and the guy in the pro shop wasn’t very helpful for a person playing there for the first time. Other than that it’s a beautiful course in great shape.
Surprisingly Good
The course is in good condition and fun to play. The staff in the golf shop were very condescending to the point of being rude and obnoxious.. The staff in the restaurant were great, good food and service great.

The course advertises the best greens on the beach, and I will admit that their greens and fairways were in great shape. The setting and areas around the fairways and greens left a lot to be desired for the price tag. Pace of play was good, but I did play in the heat of the day so there wasn’t much of a crowd. The course has a few challenging areas, but could be played by golfers of all ability levels.
Holiday Golf Course
Course was in good shape but very wet due to alot of rain this week.
Greens were aerated but putted very true.
Staff was friendly and pace of play was fast.
I played a threesome in 3:10 for 18 holes.

Green had been aeration done recently and course wet due to heavy rains but all in all a good day. Staff was friendly and a nice layout. I think the price was a little high for conditions but overall nice course
