Legacy Golf Club
About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Pristine conditioned
Our foursome plays 5-6 times per week. Fairways are in beautiful condition. Greens are outstanding. We usually finish in slightly over 3 hours. You won’t be disappointed when you play here.
Wet Course
This course stays wet for a few days after a rain. If you don't like walking from the cart paths and playing on wet fairways don't play here for a few days after a rain. This slowed down the pace of play, almost 5 hour round. Greens were very slow.
Good greens but pace of play was annoying
This is our third visit to Holiday this year. The first time we knew it was mostly cart path only, so expected a long round, and were not the least bit upset with it. Because the course was so wet, we waited a month to go back.
The second visit we played in 4 hours and the fairways were mostly dry. Really enjoyed our round.
Today many of the fairways were messy and the pace of play was horrible on the front. It picked up a bit on the back because the group in front of us quit. When we got to 17 there were two groups at the tee box when we arrived.
The greens are in great shape. A Marshall on the course to try to keep people moving wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Lots of Play
So with the restricted amount of courses in PCB This course was probably the best option.
Course was well maintained and provided a good challenge, especially in lieu of the extra traffic the course has received.
Great first round
just 5 months after the hurricane the course was in great shape
We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars. We hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Is what it is.
Unfortunately because of the hurricane iit is pretty much the only game in town. Course seems to always be soft/wet, very little to no roll out, get tired of clean and place. Ok, greens decent and for the most part rolled true, the pace of play was good for a change. Ugh!
Tough review considering the golf course had 90 inches of rain in 2018 and has continued to get rain showers weekly in 2019. (Including another one today). We're hoping mother nature starts cooperating soon. Thank you for the positive words about our greens and pace of play. I'm happy to hear we're doing things right in the areas that we can control!

Too Wet
The course was extremely wet with almost swamp like conditions on some holes. They moved the tee boxes way up on a couple of holes because the fairways were unplayable. I don't think they should let people on the course when the conditions are this wet. We did not enjoy the round, I'll try again when it dries out.
Course was wet
Course was to wet to play, and should have been closed, but with GolfNow, you had to play!
well worth the money
a windy day to play but a very interesting course to play. excellent pace of play good greens and t areas in good shape. will definitely return.
Holiday
Course was very very wet, cart path only on a lot of holes. Pro shop staff were not very nice. Not a warm feeling
Very muddy conditions
We’ve played here many times over the years but I have never seen it so mushy. I didn’t expect to be playing cart part only as it hadn’t rained much in the last couple weeks. When we shot on the fairways we’d be covered in mud. It’s a beautiful course when it’s not so wet but I feel they shouldn’t let so many people out because it’s unlikely people are fixing divots when you have walk across the course to get to your ball.
Drowning
Course very wet, almost unplayable.
We do not mind cart path only, however, there was standing water, tee boxes moved due to conditions, and muddy fairways everywhere. I am surprised that we were aloud to play. Love the course, but today was rough.
Holiday Round
Need a ranger on this course, 5hr rounds are ridicules!! Can't enjoy a game waiting on every tee! I will be cancelling my future round....
Mass Confusion
Couldn’t find any staff at the location. After asking several people at the driving range I eventually was told I’d have to drive to the main course to pay. Or walk a significant distance. Neither is not a easy task with three children under the age of ten. Not to mention all of our clubs had already been unloaded.
Once we got that hurdle overcome we finally got to play the par 3. Clearly the storm has affected the conditions but that alone cannot account for the poor condition of the greens and tee boxes.
In conclusion I don’t feel that the management offers much attention to those playing the par 3 and the hassle of going such a far distance to pay and then traveling back to the par 3 location to play is just not worth it.
Hello Frank, thank you for the fantastic 5-star review of our golf course. We appreciate you taking the time and hope you will let us know if you ever need anything while you are here. Come back and see us again very soon for more of the best golf in town.
