Flat Course With A Few Challenges
Played in afternoon after wind started to kick up to 15 mph +
Fairly flat muni course with a nice big practice putting green and popular driving range.
In fairness, I had played nearby Black Lake in the morning, and after several holes on this course I realized this was not the same caliber golf experience. A few really interesting holes on front 9, including 9 itself. Overall a good practice venue and very inexpensive.
Great for locals but if you are in the area to play the most interesting courses between SLO and Santa Barbara, this is one you could probably skip.

Nice course and location
Because all the surrounding courses were booked in and around Santa Barbra Rancho Maria was plan B.
While driving up from Santa Barbara hard to believe there was a golf course in area with all open land, green hills, cows, and horses on open ranches.
This course is very forgiving and plays long with 6 par 5 holes, nice!
Huge sparsely located trees surround course make for very scenic play. No houses to worry about around this course. Nice one-hour scenic drive from Santa Barbara went by fast. Glad I decided to make the drive to Rancho Maria Golf Club.
Had to take phot of this HUGE tree adjacent to green on hole 16, beautiful!

Good value
The quality of the course is right on par with many other central coast courses, but the price is better. Beet value on the central coast.

3 hr 30 min for 9
When I booked through Golfnow, I wasn’t informed about a your tournament. We teed off about 30 minutes behind schedule. It took 3 1/2 hours to play the front nine. Could not stick around for the back. No course marshals to help push play along. I will be a different course from now on.
