About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Great course all you need is to hit down the middle. Easy to loose balls if you don’t.

Great course, but difficult to find the entrance. Definitely needs more/better signage to help find the only entrance for non residents.

We're snowbirds and Lost Key is one of our favorite courses while in the area. The greens were excellent!
Review Again
Not sure why Golf Now wants a second review from me. Maybe it's because I can't load the app on my I-phone anymore and used my wife's phone for the reservation. Don't miss an opportunity to play this course. Two things to add.
1. The entrance is on Perdido Key Drive. Google leads you to a gated entrance with a nice view of the course but this is not the clubhouse entrance.
2. The GPS fails on a couple of holes since the tee is close to the previous green. Simply select the new hole and then yardage is correct.

Excellent condition
This is far and away the best course in the Pensacola area. It is extremely challenging so don't try to be a hero and play from tees beyond your game.

Best late season (November) greens
Paspalum grass throughout and still alive. Greens are immaculate. This course is tight with balls running off fairways and sides of greens. The native flora has been cut on the fairway edges but balls are not easily found. Expect to loose a few, but the area is so beautiful it doesn’t matter. I’m used to playing on bent grass where a shot short of the green might get a bounce and be on. Know your carry distance because a ball hit short will stay short.
