About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

First Timer
We enjoyed our day at Lost Key. I would say it is not for a high handicap, there are places you have to thread a needle. Ha. . The fairways were in really good shape. Most every were you hit was nice fairway grass to hit off from. And it was soft. Greens were very good also. Nice day, nice course . Oh, pace of play was a little slow ( played day after Memorial Day at 10:21 tee time. - That might have had something to with the slow play. ).

Great laid out course
What a great time, just do not always reach for that driver!!
We’ play south Florida all the time and this course is up with some of the best we’ve played.

Fairways are way too narrow, too difficult to be enjoyable
First time playing this course. The course itself was in good condition but it’s not a fun place to play. Played with a very good golfer that shot 69 at another course in the area the day before. He lost several golf balls at Lost Key and didn’t break 80. Not sure what can be done to improve the course other than widening the fairways.
When you give a 2 star rating to a course based off your awful skill level is enough said. Don’t bring the ratings down for a well maintained course that has great reviews bc you can’t handle how hard it is… do everyone a favor and never return thanks #playbetter

Course was in good shape, plays tough as always. Very little room to miss the fairways. Don’t go looking for balls off the fairway, lots of snakes!!

Wonderful Course
I’ve played Lost Key since it opened in the mid 90’s. It’s always challenging and a wonderful layout. It rewards good shots but can be punishing if you get off line. Beautiful scenery and a great staff. Look forward to my next trip.

COULD BE GREAT
The tees and greens are very good, especially the greens. The fairways, rough and sand bunkers need lots of work. I have played this course quite a few times and not much has changed. With all the activity around Sandy Key I keep hoping that the course will be developed into all t could be. I’ll play LK from time to time but would pay premium greens fee if it was a premium course.

Great course always improving
Greens were in amazing shape. Pace of play was fantastic. Fairways are in good shape and getting better. Fun layout that makes you hit every club. Tight holes but fun challenge

Course was just okay.
The greens were by far the best I’ve ever played. With that being said the fairways were very spotty.
