About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Challenging but fair
Always enjoy the challenging layout of Lost Key. Had a great round with a fellow.from Mississippi. Was very happy to lose just one ball. Greens were.a.little bare but rolled fast and true.

Stay away! Horrid. Greens are about a 20 on simp meter. Painted mud.
The greens were painted mud. The staff was about as great! I hated this place. Not worth $5

Exciting but watch where your ball goes
Second time playing this course after 2 years and it is exciting with narrow fairways. A lot of wetlands so be careful where you hit the ball. I’ll be back again.

Friendly staff, serene atmosphere excellent greens
I really enjoyed this golf facility. The course was challenging, but fair. The greens were receptive but plenty fast and very true. There were free golf balls on the practice range, thankfully, as I really needed to be warmed up prior to taking on some of the challenging holes on the front 9.
I would highly recommend this course not only for the golf but for the polite staff, every single staff member that I dealt with from the restaurant bar server to Grant in the pro shop, to the starter was attentive, relational and fully invested in enhancing my experience at the club. What an enjoyable and pleasant experience, far too rare these days. I suggest you give yourself an extra 20 minutes when traveling to the course, as you will need to sign in at the security gate prior to being admitted to the community.

Lost Key Golf Course Review
Lost Key is a redesigned version of the golf course previously nick named "Lost Ball"! My wife and I have been visiting Orange Beach over the last twenty + years and have frequented most of the local golf courses
My wife always enjoyed the older version "Lost Ball" (not so much me) and the current Lost Key since they both were challenging ball placement courses.
The current design of Lost Key is still quite challenging but a much more player friendly course.
We usually spend November at our condo in Orange Beach and frequent Lost key regularly.
I would definitely recommend this course to a friend.
Course to expensive for locals
Great course would play it more if local pricing was lowered.

Tight but nice course
There are plenty of opportunities to lose balls as the course is pretty tight, but still a fun course. Greens were in great shape and rolled nice and true. Friendly staff as well

“Lost Ball”
I had heard the course should be called “Lost Ball” instead of Lost Key, but I finished the round with the same ball I started with and shot 74. Challenging course, but lots of fun.

Lost Ball vs Lost Key
Haven’t played in years. Well maintained course.
Lack of any course layout graphics caused some erroneously aimed tee shots due to thick foliage hiding hazards and/or fairway/green locations.
All in all, a fun course, but bring more than normal # of balls. Also, might want to bring a snake stick. Saw a very aggressive cottonmouth on the 18th tee
