About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Nice track. Very challenging
Pace of play was great. Practice facilities were great. Course was well laid out. The reason I gave it 4 star was the tees and fairways were all crowned. If you hit near the edge of the fairway you ball was lost. I played several times on out trip at different courses. And lost 2 or 3 balls over 6 rounds. Here I lost 8 to 10 ballls on decent shots that hit the fairway and bounced into the swamp. Bring a lot of balls if you play here.

Great conditions & hole design variety.
Nice atmosphere- beauty all around. Fair landing areas requiring some shot placement. Some hard to know shots first time playing but fun once you do know.
Nice facilities. Great place to make a regular steady visit to enjoy a game of golf

Wait till summer
Was In the area on a trip. Played on a Sunday morning with my daughter. Nice layout. Narrow with lots of hazards. I had two complaints about this place. The condition of the course was not good. Tee boxes were in bad shape. Lots of bare patches . Lots of debris everywhere. Greens were ok. Little slower than I expected. The pace of play was slow. No Marshall out there. We had a twosome im front of us that backed up the course. They even stopped and got a beer on 17 . There were 4 groups on that hole at once

1-28 Lost Key
The course conditions were a reflection of the season. The dormant Bermuda fairways were a bit sparse. Being from up north, I am guessing that this is normal for this time of year. The greens were exceptional! I’ve been playing down this way for a couple weeks now, and these were the best I’ve seen.

Tough conditions cool and very windy
Well the conditions where very difficult due to temp of only 50 and North winds at about 20-30 mph tough hitting fairways but a hole in one on hole # 11 had me smiling the whole day

staff needs some work
always enjoy Lost Key but was a little dissapointed in the staff. No cart was brought out to bag drop upon arrival, pro shop attendant spoke with ex military buddy about their service while I was waiting to make a purchase, starter seemed less than happy to be there, and I waited for quite a while for someone to get a "quick sandwich" at the turn. Just seemed like a lot of apathy!!

Good course
Best greens I’ve played in a while. Wasn’t overly crowded so didn’t do any waiting between holes. Tight fairways so be prepared to lose some balls- lost key=lost ball. But overall really enjoyed this course. Will definitely play again ASAP. Also, food at the club house was great!
