About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Great layout, helpful staff!!
Great place to play for someone who hits right to left like I do. Played on a Saturday morning, pretty much had the course to myself. Will come back!

Great Family Day
The course was in great shape. Enjoyed playing with my son. My wife and the girls just wanted to relax and read. Cleanest bathrooms ever on a golf course. Kids tell the truth. Looking forward to playing Lost Key very soon. Thanks Gary!

Challenging but fun course
Lost Key is a great course and is well maintained. I’ve been told it’s been called Lost Ball and now I know why. It’s very narrow in areas and must be able to control your shots throughout the course which makes it fun. I like courses that makes you use all the clubs in your bag.

No help at all.
Tried over and over again to book teetime on their website, it would not work. I called to see if anyone could help and spoke to Tristan. He could not/would not help. I asked if he would honor the price listed on their website if we just came in- he said no. After trying several times, we simply drive to the course to see if we had booked or paid for a tee time since we were staying close by. In the pro shop we met Tristan. He watched us try to unsuccessfully book a tee time online several times and then told us they had received an email about the website having a glitch but he still would not let us play at that price as he “did not have the authority“. He told us to book it through golfnow and watched as I booked it online in front of him. The price was $34 Per player cheaper than what he was allowed to charge us. Finally we were paid and ready to play. He sent us out without directions to the 1st tee or directions about whether we could drive the fairways ( it had been raining).
We fended for ourselves and had no one but Tristan to speak to about our experience as “none of the pros work weekends”.
The course needed a good mowing but it had been raining the last week or so. Greens are really nice. Rough was uncut in spots and deep. Nice layout but really tight in some areas. Some holes are difficult due to no local knowledge and no gps or guide books to help. They may have sold those but Tristan went back to his phone and did not offer one for sale.

First one off today by myself - played in 2.5 hrs. Short course but tight and makes you hit shots. Greens are fantastic though the rest of the course is in ok condition.

Excellent Greens
Not that I play a lot of PGA courses but I have yet to find better greens to putt on. Absolutely love these greens. Right fairways and only use the driver when needed. Bring a good supply of balls as all fairways are red stakes and once you’re in, drop a new one and keep playing. Worth the $$$.

Awesome challenge
This course was alot of fun. I play from the tournament tees and this course was a challenge, but that's what made it fun. It is a pretty tight course so I can see where some people wouldn't like it but I get to play courses of this caliber once a year so a challenge is what I look for.

Great Layout but
Loved the layout and the greens are absolutely superb, however the rest of the course is very average. Splotchy fairways, furry tee boxes, and bunkers needed edging. Paid 65 bucks for an afternoon tee time and was disappointed. One of 9 courses I’ve played in the Gulf Shores/Pensacola area and it’s been the worst value. Priced well out of its quality. If you want to spend 100 plus for a morning tee time play a RTJ course or Kiva.

Unusual and inconsistent.
Greens were immaculate. Best I’ve ever seen. Not a blemish anywhere. Surrounds were a different story with many dead spots
Strange course overall with no idea what to do on many tee boxes.
And yes you will lose balls but the ones I lost were deservedly so but it is very tight.

Heat of the day
I went in the heat of the day. That was a mistake, but whatever to save $20. The course was in really good shape. I wish I was a better golfer, I would have enjoyed the course more.
