Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

The course has great features.

I really enjoy this course, it is challenging, while I'm enjoying the scenery around me. By this I mean the beautiful green of the lawns and trees, flowers and bushes.

Course is in fantastic shape, with "carpet like" farways and very good greens

Marcus Point has fantastic farways with very few bare spots. Incredible since it's winter. The winter rye top seeding has really worked. The greens are in good shape, though there were a few areas that were bare in some of the higher trafficed areas.

As a side note, the restaurant, called "Iron" has great food and a pretty good wine selection.

All in all a very good facility

This course required well placed shots off the Tee Box!

Challenging course and experience. Requires well placed shots off the tee box for straight forward approach shots to the green due to fairway shape and tree lines. Greens rolled true but fast and exacting. Burned the edges adding a number of strokes through the round. Course was well maintained from the tee box to the greens. Overall great time!

Fair course with good mix of holes to make it interesting for all

Very friendly staff, excellent layout and in excellent condition. We took a little longer to complete a round only due to weather conditions. We encountered rain showers that required us to seek shelter a couple of times during the round, however it did not have an adverse effect on the playability on the course. There was no standing water and the greens were excellent throughout the round.

Nicely redone!!

The greens are a little hard due to being brand new but they roll nice and the fairways and tee boxes are in great shape.
