About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Great Course
Played this course for the first time 7/17/2021. Tee time was 3:30, course was very quiet allowing us to play at any pace we wanted. Course was in very good condition and well worth the $40. The only complaint I had was that we only saw the beverage cart once (on hole number 1). They do not have water coolers (not sure if that is always the case or if it is a result of covid changes). You do not pass the clubhouse at the turn so stock up on drinks before you leave!

No Improvement
Gave this course a 6 month break since they decided to go up on greens fees during COVID. I can report that all that additional income hasn't been put to use in improving the course. It's very trampled and you can tell it never gets a break. The greens, however, are in great shape. Best I've seen them in years. The worst part of this course is all the nonsense that seems to take place on seemingly constant basis around the course. This particular round featured a family of about 20 people doing some kind of photoshoot on the first hole. 2 of these folks completely blocked our second shot for 5+ minutes for no reason other than to inconvenience us. It's also apparent that folks in the neighborhood sneak out and play without permission. Pace of play is also abysmal. Most folks out here are completely oblivious to the etiquette part of the game.

Yes, you should play
Course was in great shape. Rough is not very thick, your able to play out it. The low rough combined with wide fairways make this a very playable course. Dennis Griffiths design so there are grass mounds on each hole, which I enjoy. Greens were great, no complaints at all. The only comments on the greens would be that they look faster than they are. If you go out to play make sure to stock up at the clubhouse bc you do not come back to clubhouse after 9.

A great morning round
Teed off early behind another single. The course was in good shape and the greens were putting true and fast. Played my round in 2:30 so I couldn't have asked for more.

Fun time
Give Crystal lake a shot. Good conditions. Wide fairways with minimal rough. Great views and gorgeous homes to distract you from golf in between your shots.
You don’t come back to clubhouse after 9 holes so plan accordingly.
You’ll enjoy the course, go back and play or get out there and experience it for yourself.
