Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club
About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Always ready for golf !! Photo submitted by moorem815 on 07/22/2018
Hard course
Not for beginners. Prices vary from pro shop to on line. Staff did not honor rIn check Lake Spivey is better value.
very nice layout
nice course friendly staff could use more sand in traps very enjoyable
Great Track
Have played this course many times in the past and it's always in good shape! Was a little disappointed that it was pinned and sanded this last trip because I've been trying to get back over there for a while. Will definitely be back, love the track!
Great Find
This course has a great layout with as much challenge as you want depending on the tee box. There are also holes you can challenge if you are willing to take a risk. Greens were recently aireated which was the only issue...will play it again for sure.
Good Value for the Southside
I have been playing here for the past 6 years, and the course has always stayed in great shape. Playing from the tips gives the golfer an awesome, but fair challenge. You'll have holes you scrape for par, but also holes to score on. The fairways usually stay lush and the greens are always fast. The greens seemed to be pretty beat up this time though, especially on the par 3's. Most putts stayed true to their line and where they didn't have ball marks would roll very true. The course may want to put out some notices reminding people to repair divots. Overall it's a great place to play and I still find myself heading down to Crystal Lake even though I have moved to the Kennesaw area.
New Owners doing a good job!
Since the new owners took over in February they've done an excellent job of getting the course back into good condition. The greens have a lot of ball marks, but that's a product of the amount of play the course gets and golfers who don't repair their ball marks. Played for less than $30 per golfer; great deal!
Course is in great shape!
Great shape. Greens are nice. Fairways best I've seen them in awhile. Play this course as quick as you can. You will be pleasantly surprised at this gem.
Greens and Fairways were great.. Randy was RUDE!
Randy was extremely rude after we requested a rain check due to heavy rains and thunder and lighting. He stated we had a 3:30 start and should have be done by 6:30. We didn't get started until 4:00. No Marshall was present. This was Saturday golf, the players in front of us was a little slow and I think the weather played a big part in slowing everything down. Usually the staff is great. Randy needs some customer service skills.
This course has great potential !
The course plays long .The greens need attention but the fairways and the rough well maintained. My round lasted 5 ours and we saw the beverage cart twice and the second time was near the end ! Three water coolers on the course was not enough on this 95 degree day ! Service inside the clubhouse was excellent !! I'll come back but I'll be more prepared !
Player experience could be better!
C'mon folks! You have to wait 13 holes to get any water, then there's no more water for the rest of the round.
- We played one of the first rounds in the morning, and there were unrepaired divots ALL OVER the greens.
- Love the course layouts, love the views.
- You should take better care of your customers as they play your course.
Great course
Course played well beautiful fairways and greens definitely will be back. I got an eagle on hole 9 from 100 yards out best shot I've ever had and my dad and 2of my friends were there to see it
slow play
The course was perfect, but the pace of play was horrible. We were behind a group that would not let us play thru no group in front of them,at 4:45 hrs and still had 4 holes to play so we just left we were so aggravated, had to wait at least 10 min a shot, marshall came by after the first hole, never saw again.giving a low rating just for pace of play, not course conditions.
Crystal Lakes
We were only able to play 6 holes because of rain. The course is well maintained and challenging.
Nice Layout, but get your drinks before you start!
Had a nice time, course in nice shape overall and has a fun layout. A few blind tee shots and the lack of drink/food makes it hard for first time players
Much improved
I played this course in the early spring time of this year and it wasn't much better than when I played it previously, which was last summer. The course then, was obviously being neglected. However, I was pleasantly surprised today. The fairways were like hitting from the mats and the greens were rolling great. The only negative I found today was the patrons that weren't repairing their divots on the greens. I played on a "deal caddy" special of $25 so, this was a great value at that price.
Awesome course
This is a GA course favorite of mine. It is a great conditioned course with a nice layout that's a blast to play! Also a solid test of the ol' game.
Awesome greens
Great course and staff. Great location and price. Will be back
Challenging Course, Beautifully Maintained
Crystal Lake is a beautiful, challenging course. My limited interaction with the staff was friendly and efficient. The only negative is that the course is very spread out and is not "walker friendly".
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
There is a water cooler on the 3rd hole by the green if you keep following the cart path and that same cooler on your way back from the 7th.
