Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club
About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course
It is a well maintained course and I really liked playing it. We had a slower round than I prefer because of a tournement. The guy I played with said during the week, including Fridays, it is usually not crowed. I will add this course to my list of regulars.
Great round
First time. Will definitely return. Great greens. A lot of hills though
Good bones
Nice layout, but showing signs of overuse. Many unrepaired ball marks on greens and maybe lower level of course maintenance has the course looking a little ragged round the edges.
Worth the price but needs a little TLC.
Firm and Fast
Great course layout - play this course regularly. When the weather heats up it can get very fast as they don't irrigate it well. Greens are in great shape, but the fairways are thin from lack of rain. Monster drives but really need to pinch the wedges to take advantage. They close the 19th hole at 5pm on Saturdays??? bummer for a post round snack and drink.
needs restrooms on course; beverage cart would be nice
Enjoyed playing the course very much, but would probably not play again. The only holes near the clubhouse are 1 and 18. No restrooms in sight for the next 4/5 hours. No beverage carts which can make for a tough summer day in GA.
A fun course
A fun course, will play again. Nice layout, fairly open fairways. Has driving range.
Great layout
Crystal Lake still remains as one of my favorite coureses on the south. Great layout. Not in as good of shape as I thought it would. I've seen it better
Crystal lake is back
Played with a member nice dude. I guess this course has the same owners of Eagle Brooke providence club and cotton fields. The golf course condition was great greens are firm. I enjoyed my round
Great course
This is one of the best Dennis griffiths design courses. I love it and so will you. Tough course, you definently have to think your way through and be patient on the greens. This is a must play for everyone!!!
Good course, I enjoy it every time.
Crystal Lake has withstood the harsh economy and looks and plays great.
Great greens-tough pace of play
I have played Crystal Lake before and love the layout. Greens were great and rolled true. Fairways were good but not as good as the putting surfaces. Two things that could have made it better. No ball washers? A public or semi public golf course should have them somewhere on the course. The pace was difficult. I played with a group of three that were great but slow. The only problem is we still waited on several tees so the pace of play might have been managed better. Well worth the price! Really great layout.
Best greens south of Atlanta
These guys really know how to manage their greens. The condition is spectacular . This is a great course, challenging and able to get to the par 5s in two with perfect shots. 4-6 are the toughest holes....love this track.
This course is challenging with some very competitive holes.
This is a Great course that is very well maintained. It has some very challenging holes as well, holes number 4 a blind par 4 from the tee, 5 a long par 3, 6 looks long, 8 a tricky par 5, 11 a water front par 4, 14 a blistering dog leg right par 4.... I like this course, it gives up nothing and it really makes you play it in order to get a low finish or it will finish you!!!
Nice track but gets backed up easily
Course is in great shape and the hot deal is a great value. However, there always seems to be a slow foursome that refuses to let faster groups play through. The course doesn't go back to the clubhouse until 18 which makes impossible to start on back 9 if it was crowded.
Great course BUT....
The rangers need to do their job and keep pace of play up. We got backed up on every hole after the 2nd hole...
Don't schedule
Don't schedule a tournament then book a full day. It took 6 hrs to play.
adequate staff
course was in good shape however they did not have a marshal to monitor speed of play, players jumping around everywhere which caused a lot of confusion. spoke to staff about it and they made excuses and never tried to make it better.
bang for your buck
the course was very challenging depending upon the tee box you choose. The facility and the staff was really nice. I definitely would recommend this course and look forward to playing it again.
There are porta-potties at 5 and 13 or 14.
