Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club
About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Always ready for golf !! Photo submitted by moorem815 on 07/22/2018
The staff at Crystal Lakes was super friendly, the food in the club house was very good also.
I was advised by my best friend that this course was very nice and it lived up to the billing and then some. I was very impressed with the fairways and how well maintained they were. The greens rolled true and were in good shape in spite of all the rain we have had in the Atlanta area. I can't wait to play this course again on a sunny day because it rained all the way thru the front nine holes but the course held up, drained good in the fairways and the greens. Crystal Lakes so far is the Best course I have played going down I-75 south. Thanks for a Great Southside Course.
Nice course, snobby staff
The course was quite amazing; the course marshal was a stereotypical golf cop and was irritated that I wasn't present to tee off before my booked time with creative and original inquiries like, "where ya been?" and "we been a-waiting on ya." I sure am looking forward to seeing him again.
Way too slow play.....
My group left after playing (12) holes in 4 hours and 10 minutes.
Two groups in front of us that were very, very slow.
Play was not monitored well enough.
Nice course, friendly staff, rudest patrons i have ever encountered.
Looking for a nice Fri. mid-day golfing round. Nice looking course, First time play. We had no idea we would encounter the rudest group of golfers I have ever encountered. Verbally rude, very aggressive. We had groups playing into us with no regard for our safety, on par 3 holes we had balls flying at us when we were in plain view of the tee box. Groups pushing behind us when we had groups of 1 and 2 players in front playing amazing slow rate.
Private club caliber layout and amenities open to the public
Full service pro shop. Clubhouse lounge with bar and full menu. Practice range and putting green. Superior layout that measures 7200 yards from the tips down to 6000 yards from the white tees with two other tee options in between. Tree lined, bunker and hazard accented holes require strategy and accurate shot placement. A very good risk-reward layout that's fair and fun to play. The bent grass greens struggle in the summer heat but the grounds keeping crew does a good job keeping them playable.
Fun course
The course was in pretty good shape...... I just wish people would repair there ball maks. Can get busy at random times during the week, lots of slow play but where can you go to not have that? No really because I would go there. It's a great value as long as you book from golf now
challenging course
Course was in good condition, greens were good, smooth putting and Fun to play. A challenging course with some tough holes. The 2 complaints i have is that there are very few yardage markers on the course. Also, there are no indicators showing the pin placements. On most holes you cannot tell if the pin is front, middle or back and is very frustrating. I would also like to suggest that the course talk to it's customers and members about repairing their ball marks on the greens...there were a ton of fresh ball marks on the greens that we took the time to repair.
Nice array of holes, water in play on a number. Played the course a number of times and pace of play has always been super good.
Good pace of play, nice array of holes, water in play on a number. Great price.
I highly recommend this course.
My buddies and I play all over Georgia and this is one of our favorite courses. It is alway in great shape and the staff makes you feel like they are glad you came. It is a great layout. It is a challenging and fair test of your golf game.
Bunker City
Even though each hole has minimum 4 sand traps, you can navigate around / past them. Course is well mawntained, have seen better and a lot worse, but given recent weather it's expected.
Gulfing for sanity
Had a wonderful time, a must see/do. Bring some cash for the snack cart, she does come around regularly.
Great value and condition.
Extreme rough in some areas and around sandtraps. Needs pin placement sheet. Shots can vary 2 clubs based on pin placement.
Really nice track!
Played here several times, and I always enjoy coming here. There are some real big par 4's on this course, so choose your tee boxes based on those; not on total yards.
Great course to play
This is a great course to play and well maintained. It would help if players would follow golf etiquette and repair ball marks.
Pace of Play is an issue.
This is for anyone; if you lose a ball off a tee and there is a group behind you please play the ball from the point it either crossed into the hazard or from where you believe it was lost.. Be respectful of the group behind you of the time you search for a lost ball. More than one person can hit from the fairway at a time. If you can't adhere to these simple rules then at the very least let the group behind play through!!
One of the better courses on the southside of Atlanta.
1. Tee boxes could use some work.
2. Fairways are good.
3. Greens would be better if people would fix their ball marks.
Very nice course otherwise.
The course is coming from winter sleep.
Greens were still coming around from areoation but at about 90% complete. Overall the course is in good condition and in a few more weeks will be pristine. When the wind blows can be very challenging. Great course for the golfnow rate, can't go wrong driving a few miles to play Crystal Lake.
Great course. Nice views.
Played on a weekday and the time was slow due to father son team that would not acknowledge and let us play through. The course was in great shape. The greens were being aerated so my ball stopped twice 1 inch away from the hole. But would definitely play here again and again and again.
Always a great track
The greens were aerated one week prior still a little hairy and bumpy. Overall the course was in good shape and it should get better as the season continues. The only negative was the sand traps. They were in much need of both sand and upkeep.
