This is first time playing course since Hurricane Ian. Course was in surprisingly great shape. Although numerous homes that back onto course still need some type of repair (mainly roofs) there was not a single thing about course that wasn’t as good as it was last time I played here. Always a pleasure to play Burnt Store.

We played Heron-Osprey. I am a fairly new golfer but my husband is a good player. I really hate playing Osprey (much too challenging for me - narrow and LOTS of water!) Between losing some many balls to the water hazards and keeping play within the maximum (par + 4 strokes) on Osprey I rarely get to putt - disappointing! Heron play moved quite well, but when we switched to Osprey there were 4 foursomes on the 1st (green, fairway, tee and we were the 4th group waiting). Needless to say, it was a VERY slow afternoon. Despite this very slow game yesterday, we enjoy playing Burnt Store because it can be challenging enough for my husband and still enjoyable for me (except Osprey!!!)

Three 9 hole courses to choose from- we played 9 holes on Heron and had a great experience. Moderate, short course, which only takes about 70 minutes to play 9 holes. The staff (especially the starters and bag drop) were helpful and very friendly. The course was in excellent condition. A hidden gem and will be back many times.
