Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Getting better
Course has come along way over the last couple months . New tee boxes , fairways are decent and other than there aerating the greens so there is holes and sand on a several of them there in good shape. Other than the threesome of kids in front of me that played three balls each off the tee and ten shots later they finished a par three the pace was good but I’m sure we have all had that group to deal with at some point before . No marshal at this course .
Balancing act: Pace and Conditions
Sunday afternoon round in 3 hours- unheard of. And I could hardly believe it when I checked the time coming off 18 green. The course isn’t terrible. The tee boxes are all brand new turf. The greens historically are rock hard and the new owners are taking action to rectify that. Clearly the greens have been getting water and where punched. There was a good bit of sand on them today. Was it worth $40 on a Weekend- I’d say so but understand the greens are “in process”
Summerfield golf course
Summerfield golf course is in excellent condition & friendly staff.
Great course
Greens very good. Tees excellent. Most fairways very good. Some thinly grassed with a lot of crabgrass and some bare spots. Overall excellent place to play.
Rain out
We were forced to cut round short after 9th hole due to massive rain storm
Great value for the price
Tee boxes recently resodded. Greens are in very good condition, better than I've seen in over a year. New ownership / management seems to be investing in improvements.
Practice tee needs sod and putting green still rough.
SLOW PLAY is the norm.
Saff were very friendly. Pro shop, cart barn, starter, and beverage lady were all terrific. The course is in good shape except for temp Tee boxes(understandable). The Tees at the driving range were overgrown, maybe trying to get them to fill in. Main issue was slow play. Four groups ahead of us a 5-some of "regulars "was allowed to hold up the whole course. 6 hour round. Multiple groups on every tee box. No Ranger. After awhile it just became comical. Holes near the driving range , we started practicing and having chip offs withe the group infront and behind us. No point in playing this course again if "regulars are allowed to ruin everybodies day.
Summerfield
First time playing. Pace was good once I got past a slow foresome. Course layout was fun. A few temp tee boxes as they are re sodding and fixing the regular boxes, will be nice when it’s all done. Greens were ok but fair. Would play again.
It would’ve been nice to know that they were redoing the tee boxes at pretty much every hole.
Avoid til repairs are done
Summerfield Cross this one off your list. Tee boxes under repair on every hole, fairways filled with crab grass and dirt. Pace of play wasn’t great, no Marshall anywhere. Greens were good, staff was friendly, and it’s a good layout, but until repairs are done, it’s a crime to charge full price for this place
