About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Summerfield Crossing
The new greens are great and the course conditions were soggy, but are getting better due to zero rain in the last 4-5 days.

Great course I have played there many times. I think it’s well managed and a fantastic value especially since they just redone the greens
New Greens are great.
Course is in good shape since it reopened. Didn't play there a lot prior, but that will change.

Under some repair, but surely playable
I have not been here since the dry months when the greens were not in good shape. Today, they were great and more predictable. Recent rains caused many shots to plug, but that’s not the fault of the course, just my anxiousness to play. Had a great time.

Very Disappointing!!!
Course was closed for 3 months to renovate greens. They need to close it and try again. Nearly all the greens had large bad areas that detracted from the good ones. They should sue the people that did the renovations and go talk to the Big Cypress superintendent in Lakeland to find out how to renovate greens properly.
Disappointed yet again!
Sooo wet. The layout was good. The condition was disappointing. That's something I run into alot. Soo many courses in the area are just soo poorly maintained. Patchy uneven tee boxes, slow bumpy greens combined with slow play just seems to be the norm. It's like the staff doesn't think people are going to play today. I have yet to play a course here that I can't wait to play again.

The course opened the new greens today for play. They were in great condition as was the remainder of the course. I will be playing there again soon.

New Greens are open!
WOW has this course gotten so much better. They opened their new greens today (Friday 8/20/21). They are new still, so when we played today they were not really fast (as expected), but they rolled true. In a month or so they will be even better. The fringe area still needs to completely grow in. Great course. When comparing other courses in the area, this one is top notch, especially for the money. Pick the right tee box however, as some holes from the gold tees are VERY difficult. Black tees are much easier.

Construction Zone
Can’t believe the person below threw five stars! The course is doing full renovations on just about everything - and are still charging normal price. I’m very surprised the course is even open to the public in it’s current condition. I wouldn’t return at least until the summer is over. Lots of work to be done.

Go elsewhere
I normally enjoy Summerfield. However on Thursday all 18 greens were temporary greens. Yes, they were all in horrible shape. The fairways also appeared to be under repair. It will be a long time before I go back to Summerfield if ever. I think they would have been better served to simply close the close for a week or two and get it back to decent condition.
