About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Get what you pay for
Got an extremely cheap hotdeal so can't complain there. Course is not in good condition. Greens are awful. I can live with that, but starting 15 mins after our tee time and getting stuck behind a tournament was not acceptable. Slowest round I've ever played. Need better course management, I don't care how cheap the round was. My suggestion, pay the extra $20 and find a course in better shape and ran right.

Not the best condition...
The course is in bad shape. I'd blame the rain because most of the course was soaking wet, but the greens were very spotty and coarse. Not sure you can blame the rain for that... $32 was too much for this condition...I'm glad I didn't pay $40 or I'd really feel ripped off.

Rude staff, priced too high
Prices too high for course. Surrounded by nicer courses with much fairer pricing. Every day is mats only on range. Staff only cares about their league play, and turns away paying customers, even hours before league start. Has happened more than once. Instructor there has been seen yelling at people on range, during a lesson, carriage 2 kids in a cart at once, and leading Toni e of the kids falling out of moving cart on pavement. Just a crazy place.

A Great Course - Great Value for the Price
Quickly becoming my favorite golf course in the Tampa area. The price is better than some of the better known courses. Yet, this is the best golf course per round that I've played in Florida. I need to clarify. I've only played at nine courses in FL and it's the best. In fact, I played here 2 times this month.
You have to be prepared for a lot of uphill and downhill, although slight, shots. The greens are some of the best. Watch out for the numerous bunkers. I have attached a picture of their signature hole. (Subliminal message: "Pay for me and I'll come." End of subliminal message!) Seriously, you'll enjoy this fine course.

6300+ yards from black tees, at 77 years of age, just a little bit out of my comfort zone, but gold tees at 5700+ a little short. Heat got the best of us, didn't play all that well, a couple of strokes over my ghin index. Lots of gnats early in the AM, gnats in this area are common, we will return when the temp drops some

Declining condition
Played here a few weeks ago and course was in much better shape. Sad to see it go down hill so fast, especially on back 9. To start everything looked pretty good for the most part on front 9. Grass nicely cut and fresh. Only a few rough spots on greens and fringe. But the back 9 went downhill fast. Huge areas of fairways destroyed and full of sand and dirt. The immediate rough areas (not way off the mark) were also barren and full of dirt or sugar sand in lots of areas. Some rough greens. Tee boxes got real rough too, some mostly comprised of weeds and sand. Again wasn’t this bad a few weeks ago. Sad to see the decline so fast at was is normally a favorite local course to frequent. They should probably drop the rates until they get things improved, as their is currently much better options nearby for the same or better prices.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We've had a major irrigation issue on holes 10 through 15 that wouldn't allow us to water for numerous days. We are actively trying to fix the condition on those holes. We hope you give us another try in the near future.

Enjoyable Round
Summerfield is an enjoyable course with a nice variety of holes. A good place for a nice, affordable round. The starter was also a very nice gentleman, I wish I could remember his name, sorry, but I liked how he remembered and used my name on at least three different occasions. Will be back.

Very nice course, good customer service
Course was in very good condition with a few minor exceptions here and there. Good customer service from pro shop to starter to Marshall and cart girl. We got really slow play for about 30 minutes but not much you can do. Pace of play got better for the last 6-7 holes and all in all we got a round in 4 hours 15 mins. Our t time was 11am on a Sunday so not totally unexpected.
Greens and tee boxes mostly in very good shape.
A good diversity of wildlife as we saw turtles, eagle/hawk and some large birds.

Course was in good shape, except rough right off the fairways was a bit long. Spent a bit extra time searching for balls hit just off the fairways. Greens were in decent shape, a bit fast but fair.
