About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Course in terrible condition
There was nobody on the course and I can see why. It was like hitting it out of a sand trap for half of your shots. Very tight course. Could be a great course of they pumped some money into maintain there grass. Very disappointed.

Course needs work
I do really like the course layout and almost all of the holes. Clubhouse and staff are good. It just needs a little bit more work with maintaining the course. The greens were pretty bad and fairways/rough weren't quite better. I know it's been dry lately, but these are the fastest greens and fairways I've played of late.

Bad greens
Fairways were dead and greens had a ton of weeds and mixed blend of grasses. Just in really bad shape right now.

The lack of any rain over the past month and a half and our major irrigation issues we have been having during the same time frame has caused this situation. We are diligently working on replacing our irrigation system and have a temporary fix that should help in the near future. We hope you give us a second chance.

I love this course for its quirkiness. Its an old Scottish links feel. The way golf was intended to be. It is far from plush and perfect like the country clubs. What it lacks there it more then makes up for in character/layout. I played the golds and it was a fun challenge - pulled out almost all the clubs at one time or another. There are some VERY tough holes - and even the "easy" holes are well protected by severe undulations or smallish narrow greens. We each had our own cart because of COVID, and pace of play was WAY better then if we paired up !!! Plus with your own cart you get to concentrate on your game better. Courses should go to single carts for good !! We will be Back :)

Staff suck they don’t know how to deal with people

Shut it down!
I can’t believe I was charged $47 to “play” on this course. It isn’t really a course but more like a goat pasture with flags stuck in the ground periodically. This truly was the worst golf course I have ever played on in my life! For credibility purposes, I am a manager at one the top high end golf resorts in Florida. I am also a 2 handicap so I know a thing or two about golf courses. I can honestly say that the land would be better used for something else. It really was in that bad of shape. A $10 greens fee would be acceptable. Sorry to the course but these statements are fact and not an opinion. The course conditions are beyond brutal.

A nice course
This course has some nice holes the lay out is good very playable I recommend this course to anyone in the area I travel an hour to play there and would drive farther if needed go play and enjoy .

Pace sucks
Enjoy the golf course, staff might need to be reminded that there in the service industry, cost to play through golf now very reasonable.

No Option To Walk
Let me say first of all not trying to kill this course in this review.
Did not have a tee time walked up about 2:30 pretty much dead. I had to go looking for someone to check me in. Finally find someone he says how can I help, would like to walk 18, had my little pull cart ready to go, you cant walk [ME ] huh you cant walk, suggest you all fix this.

Enjoyable day
A great staff that is friendly and knowledgeable eager to make your golf enjoyable!
The course has enough tee boxes to accommodate all skill levels.
I usually play early in the morning so the pace of play is faster than later in the day.
The greens are fast and challenging..

I’m sure it was once very nice
The overall surroundings area hints that this should be a nice club. However the closer you get wear and tear and a general lack of maintenance show up.
I found the clubhouse and parking lot showing significant signs of wear. A little cleaning and paint would go a long way here. More importantly for the golfer, though, is that the course was in the same condition. Cart paths were a little rough, fairways very patchy and the greens were fast but quilted with patches of crabgrass. A number of the tee boxes were not level. On the good side, the bunkers had just the right amount of sand in them (unfortunately I had LOTS of opportunities to experience them!)
The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing.
All in all, my impression is that the owners stopped investing in this place a number of years ago. Too bad because it really is a nice layout.
