Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

I Will Return
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. Course has challenging scenic holes. Fairways were in good shape, greens were excellent and very fast, although there were some rough spots here and there. Greens were soft enough to accept high shots without bouncing over. I usually play from 6000 to 6200 yards, but the tees are set up to about 5800 and 6400. I opted for the 6400 which created some longer par 4's than I usually play, but it all worked out. I suggest driving ahead of your shot to see where water may be hidden behind a hill. The fairways have many moguls which can give you an uneven lie for an extra challenge. Most fairways are very wide so you can go ahead and rip the drives without too much worry. Looking forward to returning soon.
Just one critique-there is very little drinking water available. The weather was cool today so it was not a big deal. But if it was 95 degrees it would have been an issue. Just one water bucket on each side and one at the clubhouse-NOT ENOUGH!
nice fairways
Greens in pretty good shape, a few (2) need a little work but I mean very little work. good course for you long drivers. If you play smart you should produce a good score.
Great Local Course
Great value course — not a resort club by any means, just a solid place to play for a great price.
Tee boxes are in great shape, fairways good now that it is the dry season, and the greens are ok—still struggling with some weeds and “scratchy” areas.
Encouraging Trend
Conditions are improving but still have a long way to go. Many greens and fairways show good progress while others still have issues. Overall, the course is on the right track. Hopefully hard work and the budget will continue to support these welcome improvements in course conditions.
Enjoyable course
Fairways in great shape. Greens were running fast. A couple (2) of greens need a little work. Course itself is enjoyable. Course ranger was always patrolling the course to keep the pace moving along.
green fairways
Course in pretty good shape. Fairways were excellent, one or two greens need a little repair work but not a big deal. Greens where running at a good pace.
A work in progress.... getting better !!!
The greens have improved since my last visit and work is being done to continue the trend. I hope the bunkers are on the list for attention, they are desperately in need of help.... most just look like a hole in the ground. The overall impression is that the course is on an upswing..... getting ready for 'the season'. Congrats on the improvements !!!
Fast Greens
Course in pretty good shape considering all the rain the summer. A few greens need some repairs. Fairways where in nice condition.
Fun to Play
Summerfield is a great place to play. The course is in very good shape with two exceptions. The bunkers (like all courses in the area) are suffering from too much rain. Second... the greens are suffering several bare spots. I hope these areas recover soon.
Very enjoyable round
Golfed near noon, had course to ourselves. Weather warm, but cloudy. Course in very nice condition, greens fast and in good shape. Even birdied the island green--shocking! We had a thoroughly enjoyable round.
Pretty good
The course is in decent shape considering all the rain we’ve had this summer. The greens need some work but love the course.
Summerfield Crossings GC
The course layout is inviting. It good for golfers of all handicaps. I will play this course again.
Had a good time
The weather had made the greens dead in some areas but the course overall was in good shape. Played with three strangers but the management made me feel welcome. Had a good time.
Wet Wet and Wet
The front nine was closed due to it very wet only had 9 hole open and it was very wet should not have been open at all. Only played the back nine once to wet to go around it again. Greens were in bad shape to maybe from all the rain. Never seen them this bad.
Front 9 Closed
Played back 9 twice, cart path only. No biggie, it’s Florida and really wet this summer. Was told the front 9 hasn’t been open for a week but no warnings on GolfNow. There is a difference between wet and unplayable. Today was unplayable. 30-40% of the entire back 9 was either under water, standing water, or that squeaky mush of water/soil/grass. At one point I couldn’t find a dry spot within 30 yards of my tee shot and ended up just placing it in the rough. Keeping the back 9 open and charging full rate is just wrong. Love this course when playable, but for now it’s just too wet and letting us golfers continue to play on it is just making course worse.
Great Day, Great Round, Until...
The course was in very good shape, the greens are improving and filling in nicely. Some fairway bunkers need some love (13 in particular). Overall Summerfield is a fun place to play with an interesting and challenging layout. Unfortunately we were rained out after 11 holes. Recommend playing as early as possible to avoid the Florida afternoon rains we see in the summer.
Record rain has severely impacted the greens. As the weather improves, so do the greens. 12+" of rain in 2 weeks will do that.
