Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Slow Play
The last 3 times I played at Summerfield it took between 5 and 6 hours to complete the round. Several foursomes stacked up an nearly every tee box. There are no real starters and no rangers to regulate the pace of play.
This course is starting to get really expensive!
Course has made improvements but prices are starting to be crazzzzy!
Average course
High cost for average course. Not I great condition. Slow pace of play. Not my first choice for next play day. I play weekly at different courses in the area.
Everything that could go wrong, DID
Afternoon, we arrived on tyme only to have to wait for a cart because they didn't have any avaialble. Once out- there were no ranger's on the course so one could be imagined the pace o play was beyond extremely sloe. We played a "mere" 9-holes in 3 hrs.15 minutes!!! At that tyme along with the twosome we played with decided to call it quits as we all traveld a distance and wouldn't finish in a tymely manner as well as get home after dark!
When I approached the Pro Shop's front desk to request even a credit for the nine holes not palyed it was a direct denial at which point I was much too tired to fight 'em and certainly would not come back again... all for now but think twice before making your next reservation at this ill-ran course!!!
It's a cow pature
Sorry, but it's not in great shape, too much money for hitting off dirt, greens aren't that great. The course is begging for water. Don't these courses have any watering done. Staff non existent. Plus the 3 guys I ended up with had brutal etiquette, a waste of money.
Beautiful course
The place was great, issues with getting a cart, frustrating, but eventually worded it out.besdes that the new additions done to the course are outstanding and course in great shape
Getting Better
The driving range and short game area is 100% better. A few fairways need some attention. Overall a good course.
Last couple of times I rated this better
Last couple of times I rated this better, but upon closer inspection it's a cow pasture. The greens are ok, but not great. Fairways are garbage. Tee boxes average. Unless they water, stay away
Nice course brutal Customer Service
Course in good shape, pace is decent. Staff well they're there, but being paid to twiddle their thumbs. You arrive, nobody at counter they're all blabbing to each other. Then the young fellow says "you're with cart 50, go find him". I pay for a cart so I don't have to carry my clubs, yet I'm left to find my partner. Useless staff. Every other course either carries or puts in a cart your clubs and finds the playing group and introduces the players. This place, you're on your own, yet they have 4-5 young fellows doing nothing to help clients. Major fail. Been there twice, same experience, so it must be their M.O. Do Better.
Needs improvement
The staff are very friendly. Pace of play was slow. No course marshal. When we made the turn to #10 we had a 5some show up in front of us out of nowhere. Called the clubhouse to let them know. They said someone would come out and deal with it. No one did. Took just shy 5 hours to play.
Greens and fairways need a lot of work. Course is dry and hard.
I don’t like giving tuff reviews but this course is in need of ALOT of TLC
It’s been awhile
It’s been almost 2 years since I played here. Wow. A lot of changes to the practice area. Great changes. The course is the same. A great layout. Pace of play was a little slow but it was Sunday. Staff was very nice. I will be back.
Good place.
Played here for the first time. It’s a very nice course. Was in really good shape considering the tough winter most courses went through. I really liked the layout and the holes. It provided a lot of risk and reward shots. I scored very well considering I never played this course. And yes, I had a few doubles and one triple. But a great course. It’s in a typical housing development. Most of the players there were members. Pace was really good considering we had the weekly(daily?) men’s group in front of us. But I no hurry. I think our round was 4 1/2 hrs. Acceptable. My only complaint was the restaurant/bar was completely closed and no cart person on Monday/Tuesdays. But I can see that, being the lack of players. Not many there that live in that complex. Anyway, I’ll give it a 4 star rating. And that’s huge for my standards. Good place. Give it a try!
All good with this course!
I made reservations for this course on Golf Now.com for 4 golfers, price total for the 4 golfers $200.16 ($50.04), all 4 checked in at the golf course shop, paid for the round and when I checked the receipt I notice that I was charged $52.68, I informed Cole that he had overcharged me and I was informed by him that is the price ($52.68) for the round and that he wouldn't change it, I showed him the reservation I made on Golf Now which showed the total price of the reservation ($200.16), he would not change it. Just wondering who else has had this problem!
Poorly Managed
The golf course is fine, but there is no management. The last time I played, the tee times were 30 minutes behind schedule and it was only 10:00 a.m. The "starter" was doing nothing and there was a traffic back-up at the first tee. Complete chaos. When we finally got started, it took over 5 1/2 hours to get the round in.
I was going to try it again and scheduled a tee time for 11:07 on March 12. However, my plans changed so I called in on March 10 to cancel the reservation (you cannot cancel it on line). I got their voice mail which instructed me to leave a message, so I left a message to cancel the reservation. I thought that was done until I was notified 2 days later that they had charged my American Express for 4 rounds of golf ($196). I called them and spoke to a rep in the pro shop who said he couldn't help me. He transferred me to the GM, but I got his voice mail. I left him a message but did not get a call back, so I called again the next day and left another message. I still have not gotten a call back.
Buyer beware - this is a very poorly run organization. I have disputed the charge with American Express, but should not have to go through that process. I have no choice, though, due to their lack of management.
Very slow pace of play
The new practice facility will be excellent once it is fully operational (new practice putting green not yet open). New greens need time to mature.
Cart girl (Brianna) was outstanding - very friendly and we saw her on multiple occasions.
But you need to address the operational aspects of getting players off at their reserved time and moving play along. We had a 45-minute delay followed by a 5-hour round. I won't be back until that gets addressed.
