No one Here !
I had a great day of golf. Hardly no one there. Played all by myself and never had anyone in front or behind me. Was a relaxing day. Golf game not so good, but had fun. Course is average public course, without the crowd. Greens were in pretty good shape. Well worth the GN special of $14.99 for 18 holes.
Tough but exciting
Upon arriving at this course 1 thing I would like to say is their address both on golf now and their website is incorrect, and will lead you into street of houses, just look for coweta golf club.
Overall the staff inside was helpful, and kind, it was a slow day with not many golfers. They gave me a few tips, like not driving off of the 6th tee as there is a creek that balls that go over 150 will roll into due to the downward hill.
The course is really hilly, leading to lots of blind shots, hard ball management aka finding the ball, and some interesting course hazard features. The greens where nice, not too fast not too slow, and the fairways where great. Even the rough was maintained well enough to find a ball. But, DO NOT HIT into a bunker, bunkers are hard pan with almost no real sand, they are very dried out, overall this course was fun to play, definitely will go back as it’s a challenge for sure
Always a pleasure
Over great condition and playability. Tee boxes could use some maintenance and greens are pretty slow , but in good shape.
Club house/course didn't open until 8a. We were booked for 810a and it's impossible to get any warm up which was frustrating.
Latest round
I’ve played this course a few times and overall it’s a good course. It’s got some quirks which make it difficult yet not ridiculously hard to play a good round.
My latest round was a mess.
No range balls available because they’d been “wiped out by a couple foursomes” (Um, get someone to retrieve them?) I played behind a foursome the entire time that had no clue about course etiquette, white claw cans (empty and full) everywhere on the tee boxes, multiple drive shots hit by the group..
I mention to them passing by and was blown off. I mentioned something at the turn to the gentleman at the counter and was basically brushed off.
Trash cans on the course were overflowing and honestly smelled awful. The tee boxes were mostly dirt with half grown in grass. It’s a nice course in general but for a “club” it’s not very enticing.
Moderate To Advance Players
I enjoy playing golf and being outdoors, but my game is not completive right now. So while I enjoyed my first play at this course, it was a little too challenging for my present game. Long drives out of a lot of the tee boxes needed to reach playable fairways. My drives aren't that long. I fed the Golf Gods more than my share of golf balls. Friendly staff, course in good shape. Just hard for my present skill set.
Most improved course.
I would rate Coweta club as most improved golf course over the last 12 months. Fairways and greens were terrific tee boxes which is least important to me need a little help. Rough could use a little more attention as it was very deep and difficult to play out of on some holes. Overall great value And great course.
A hilly course
A lot of blind shots concerning the players in front of me had to drive up to see where they were but other than that great course and in good shape.
