Downside
Course edges and cart path access needs work due to washout and rooting. Greens true and fairways had fair amount of grass for November.
Challenge for sure !!!!!
Coweta is always a challenge. Keep it straight and put yourself in the right position. Position is important on this course. Played well...Four birdies and the rest pars.
Don't do it
Front 9 is decent.
Back nine has been abandoned.
Bring hammer for tee boxes.
Want to hit a quick bucket ?
Not here... you MUST play a round to use the range.
nice enough
The fairways are nice. The greens are slow and have damage to them. It is well kept except for the cart paths which are in terrible shape. It is a rough ride the whole course. There are a handful of holes that require you to lay up on the tee shot which I am not a fan of at all.
a lot of potential
This course has always been a favorite of mine, because of the layout. Course fairways looked good but greens were SUPER slow and inconsistent. Fix greens and will be back to the price they charge.
Nice layout but poor conditions
You can tell at one time this course was extremely nice( i believe it used to be private ). The layout is really nice, with a perfect links style to it, but the conditions of this course are poor. The fairways are fine, but the greens and tee boxes are pathetic. The greens are literally the slowest greens that I have ever played. I paid $50 fir this course, granted on a saturday morning but still way over priced.
Slow Greens
The course is in great shape. Nice challenge from the Blues. The greens are slow. Have sand on the greens from airation. No holes on the greens. When they cut and roll the greens, that should take care of the slowness.
Great layout greens were terrible
I love the course layout here but there are a couple tee boxes that are in really bad shape. Pretty much unplayable.
The geeens had been aerated the week before and were virtually unplayable. If a significant discount had been applied it would have been one thing. They gave us 7$ off what is normally a 50$ round.
Greens were unplayable. Also I wasn't informed that the greens had been aerated recently.
Greens just sanded on Wednesday and I did not know it until I arrived at the course.
Good Condition
This course has bounced back nicely. Greens are rolling true and ever thing else is nicely cut.
Great course, bad greens
Beautiful scenic setup with plenty of challenge on tee shots. The greens were unbelievably slow, but I guess that's why it's a public course. Wide open out there. Worth a visit if you aren't used to good greens.
GA golf
Nice course. Nice clubhouse. Good price for playing. Need to get some tee boxes cleaned up but otherwise in good shape.
Toug Course with overgrown grass
This a tough course, but playable. The problems Sat was a lot of over grown tee boxes and the greens were extremely slow. Several tee boxes you needed very long tees because they hadn't been cut, but grass was very green and tee box filled in. Don't recall but one green that had lots of divot spots, but they could be cut just a hair, very slow and not rolling true due to length. Fun day, not a bad round of golf.
a good day
anytime you can play a round of golf, it's a good day. the course has it's challenging holes but if you think, you can avoid high numbers. it was fun and i'll play it again. i also won 4 skins.
Coweta Club is a great south Atlanta choice
Great time and great course. Little confusions about where the white tee markets were but everything about the course was awesome. Well worth it and challenges you on so many different levels
4Star because of GolfNow Deal
This is a $30 full price course and in "NO WAY" a $50 for 18 w/cart course.
I am so glad that I purchased a deal from GolfNow for my first round here which was $36 for two golfers for 18 holes with a cart, otherwise I would have been sorely disappointed.
The grounds staff were very polite but the pro shop guy had a "stoic" attitude or "I don't feel like being bothered" attitude.
We lost the 8th hole tee shot in the "FAIRWAY" because it was next to the driving range with plenty of range balls on the 8th hole fairway. (Next time we will use either a pink or yellow ball on the 8th hole tee box).
I do plan to play the course again but only if I can find a $25 deal or less; I may pay as much as $30 but not over that price point.
Nice course.
Firtst time playing this course, and I thought
it was an enjoyable round. I will come back to play it again, and I will play some "blind shots" differently. There were some challenging holes, but they were fair. The course was well marked for cart directions, and pin yardage. I will look forward to my next round.
