Great Course for the Money
I got a HotDeal rate on this course and decided to try it. Course is well laid out with some challenging holes. Course is in good condition, greens are in great shape. Will be back to play again!
Great Layout
Played here a few times in the last month. Great course with elevation changes regularly. Just wish 10 was open because it looks like a very challenging hole. It's a short par 3 in the mean time. Overall course is in great condition and pace of play was great for a weekday. I'll be back here again.
beast
tough but 5 tee boxes help. #6 is the hardest hole in south Atlanta area. #17 great risk/reward 250 yd. par 4. # 18 600 yd. uphill par 5, impossible to reach in 2.
Hills, and more hills.
This was my 3rd round here and for the most part, the course really played good. As I understood it, they were working on the greens making sure that they were good going into Summer which made them slow. Also work on hole 10 may have been necessary but a little frustrating nonetheless. Can't wait to play it when everything is clicking. Good course.
Give a Week or Two!
I haven't played this course in almost 15 years. The course is maintain well and the layout drives you to make accurate shots. The above heading is a semi warning to give it a few more weeks to allow greens to come back from aeration during this time for many courses. I must stay true to my review, for some reason 10 was played as a par 3 from a mat to the left of the fairway(construction I suppose). Long hitters check your yardage book and play too the 150. Fairways are decent this time of year and be sure to bring some sort of yardage devices(Garmin S4 for me); a lot of elevation to change your eyesight. First timers, play to the 150. With that, I'll give it a few more week and will return!
Pleasant suprize
The course has a very nice layout with unique and challenging holes. Carts were new and in great working order. Greens had been top dressed but receive shots and putted very well. The only draw back was that the bunkers were very inconsistent with regard to the sand type and depth. The pace of play was very good. Some areas of the course are being worked on, but it did not interfere with play. It was a good value for the price.
coweta club
The front 9 had some sand on the greens, should be about perfect in a week. The back 9 was in great condition. All the fairways were in good condition. Challenging course, have to hit your spots on the fairway. Make sure to read the description for each hole with the helpful hints!
Havent played in a while
The course was in good condition, not excellent, since several holes were closed to carts, but with the course still being wet and since some work was being done on the course you can understand why the holes were closed. I must admit it's been well over a year or so since I played this course, not in the top shape I am used to seeing, but it wasn't that bad for winter and the $35 price. Always enjoyed playing here just was a little out of my groups budget when it comes to playing on the weekend. I will be glad when they finally open up hole #10, great challenging hole to start the back 9. I do plan on playing again and would recommend playing, especially for the Golf Now price.
Excellent Course
Even due to the wet weather and time of year this course was in the best condition I have seen in a long time. Obviously they take great pride in their club. Can't wait to play it again.
Great course, Great Value
Coweta Club is one of the nicer courses in the area. I have played the course several times and the greens are in great shape now. The greens have healed over the last couple months and are back to normal. The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. The course is challenging and the carts are brand new. The prices are affordable. I enjoyed the course and would recommend it.
Awful conditions
The greens are awful temp on 10.don't waste your time.
Current ratings should be reflected; this place is a zero
Too bad you can't give minuses; this would be a negative 10. What are called greens are horrible; overall course conditions are bad; weeds in what are supposed to be fairways; plenty of uncut rough and other unmaintained ; washed out areas and overall poor conditions.
#10 shouldn't be called a temporary green; it's just an area of what used to be fairway now almost rough with a hole cut into it.
Unless you like to waste money and time do not go here; maybe next year they'll actually have greens but I wouldn't go back if it was free.
There should be an ability to flag courses that are unplayable and also ratings should reflect current course conditions; the fact this place has a 4 is a joke at best.
Cllovett
Grains are gone worker was in the way would not move need to charge $15 because they don't tell you about the hold 10 and they are working on the golf course they should tell you upfront about the golf course before you even pay.
First&Last Time
Wow, what a waste of my time and money. Greens unplayable, in horrible shape. Broken down equipment on a hole under construction with a lousy temporary green. The only shining star in this whole experience was a great meal in the clubhouse and the friendliness of the restaurant staff!!
Very challenging course
Always enjoy playing the course. Just punched the greens so we get a reduced rate next time we play.
Lot of elevation change throughout the course, would not recommend walking. Toughest course on south side of Atl.
Needs TLC
Fairways good. Greens awful. Tried to overseed, not sure if proper preparation was done. The tall grass around traps needs to go along with other unkept areas. Terrain of the course invites erosion along the cart paths. In need of repair.
Heading towards bankruptcy?!?
Wow what good can we say about this course which used to be one of the best south of Atlanta - I didn't believe the other recent bad reviews but they were spot on...
1. Booked on Golfnow - would not honor the rate - didn't care one bit that I showed him the confirmation and quoted rate amount/ didn't offer anything to make it right or to call golfnow, comp a bucket of balls, etc...
2. Group in front had same issue in clubhouse / he asked to speak to mgr - pro shop indifferent / eventually offered owners' phone number / didn't answer...
3. Could see large clumps of weeds in fairways, rough, near bunkers, ets
4. Punched and top dressed greens two days ago - that was not the problem as it was stated on golf now as aeration alert but other reviews stated punched in early July so guessing they are losing the greens / scorched and burned in all likelihood as noted by other reviewers / scrambling to save what was likely caused due to neglect
This appears to be top to bottom failure of management/ownership -- oh, something good to say about the course, plenty of good parking as there were three cars in the lot when we arrived...and guessing one was the guy behind the desk!
Coweta club
The course has a challenging layout. The course itself is in very good condition, except for the greens, which were in very bad shape.
