Governor's Towne Club

My brother and I played the Governors Club and the course was in very good condition. Enjoyed this challenging layout.

Course in very good shape. Very enjoyable round. Would play more if the rate was lower.

Really fun course to play for all levels. Best condition of most ever public course in Atlanta. Fairways are skinny at the moment due to dry weather. That will change. Greens in good shape but a little slow for me. But know they don’t want to kill them given no rain. Better values our there for the money but the premium you’re paying is worth it given the overall condition. Once other Bermuda courses fill in though, the premium is too high.

Course has a friendly resort style layout with plenty of scoring opportunities. Good mix of short par 4's/5's. It's pretty laid out in front of you with room for misses. Fairways and greens in very good shape as well.

Course was perfect. Only issue was the hole was changed out on 7 while we were in the fairway.

I snagged one of the first tee times on a weekday and played 18 in 2.5 hours. I’ve been a member for periods of time (off and on) over the last 10 years. I don’t have enough time for membership to make sense, but I’m glad I can still play it every once in awhile. Best layout in the area by far. They are making a lot of improvements. I like how they took out the trees by the green on 4.

Course in great condition 6100 yards from blue tees. Paired up with a couple of great guys. We’ll worth the money

Outstanding in every sense of the word. Solid practice grounds, great pace, everybody was nice … just an enjoyable experience. Well done.

The course layout is great and challenging. Aside from the slow greens and the hard pan bunkers, the fairways and tee boxes were acceptable save for the 9th hole tee box we played. The staff were very cordial and friendly. The only staff issue we had was a request made to the cart girl to bring a sandwich out to us on hole 11. She said no because she will not be returning to the back 9. It’s a course I would play again and recommend as when it’s fully maintained it should be a treat to play…

The course was a little wet to start, but I think the front nine is just designed essentially at the low point between housing on either side. It dried up fairly quickly and the back nine was in perfect condition. Greens were rolling a little slower than I would expect, but they may be keeping them a little higher coming out of dormancy.

Pace of play was great, staff was friendly, and the burger at the turn was good and fast.

All in all, it was worth the time and the money.
