Diamond in the rough

This course is tucked neatly and discreetly in Acworth GA. With rolling fairways, white snow bunkers and fast rolling greens. Its its own oasis with Million Dollar homes lining the fairways to encourage better shot accuracy. The staff is unparalleled with smiles and ease of play. Quite and relaxing but how this course plays you'll have enough excitement placing your ball in the correct positions.

Governors Towne Club

Just an excellent course design. Visually - so many interesting holes. Hilly terrain in the southern Appalachian foothills.. Somewhat isolated but the homes in the club are $1,000,000+.

Depending on your tee choice and set up, it can be very challenging or somewhat hacker friendly. Many holes have room to bomb it. Not a walker's course - too much elevation change and distance between holes.

The negative is the the ownership/management does not have a client-focused mentality. The grill/bar was closed all day when we played (a Sunday), so no cool down beer break at the end. That was weird, but not a surprise here.

Looking rough

Course conditions are rough at this time especially given the $$$$ they are asking to play. They have a serious Geese ( and geese poo) problem. It will be A bit before I go back hopefully condition of the course will improve since it is a nice layout
