Governor's Towne Club

Maybe it was the victory but Governors never disappoints. I hope I can continue to book and they keep up the fantastic conditions. It is a little slow as non-members have to tee off from 10 and hit traffic at the turn. If the course was 20 miles south it would be premiere ATL course and non-accessible.

Golf course is incredible. Lots of elevation changes make for a very scenic course! Will definitely play this whenever I am in the area!

The course is really nice. Some of the Par 4s are short. But the fairways, bunkers and green are in fabulous shape. Perhaps the best in metro Atlanta. Little far north but worth the drive. Nice vegetation around the fairways. Lush Greenery. If it was not too far for me. it would have become my favorite course. Very few water hazards.

Will play again!!

I have played here several times, so I can compare this round with the ones in the past. The pace of play was great approx 3 hours 45 minutes. Sadly the fairways have not filled in yet from being dormant. I understand the weather has not been kind to Bermuda grass ytd. The greens have not been repaired from pitch marks and tree boxes not cut. I understand with all going on in the world this ranks waaaaaay down on the scale of things to worry about. But when this passes I hope theses can be addressed. Indoor staff always nice, outside not so much.

The staff welcomed us like we belonged. Everyone from the bag men, Pro Shop staff, and Starter were helpful in guiding us to a great day! We went off the back nine while the members went off the front which seemed to play a bit longer and more challenging. The course is in fantastic shape and will be much more challenging once the rough grows in soon. With the large greens providing multiple pin locations and the variety of tee options (Black, Black/Gold, Gold, Gold/Blue...), I think playing here could feel like a different course every day. The setting is beautiful and the homes along he course are spectacular, but not close enough that they ever are in danger of errant shots.

The course was in very good condition. Only complaint is that they have golf now folks teeing off on 10. Members tee off on 1. So when you make the turn to play front 9 tee box is back up for members to tee off. You could have to wait 20 or 30 minutes to tee off.

Except bunker sand quality everything is super!!!

Incredibly fair golf course and several sets of tees for all levels. Appreciate the consideration of the staff as well.

For a private club I thought the layout would be more challenging. The greens were flat and rolled true with a few unrepaired ball Mark's. The fairways were still growing in but in nice shape. Bunker placement is where you are challenged. I got "member for a day" pricing and thought is was a great value. Now that I know the course I'd like to play it again. I always play during the week so the pace of play was excellent.

So many Schotty housing development golf courses around. This is a real golf course with some structure and real design features. Very good round of golf.

From the parking lot to the first tee, the customer service was excellent. We were greeted in the parking lot and to the bag drop. The starter was helpful and kept us abreast of our tee time. We were even greeted at the end of our round.

The course was slightly soggy in areas from a recent rain but still playable. The greens were fast and true. Aiming for the center of the greens were the smartest plays for these elevated greens. It was a pleasure being member for a day at this club.

The course was in really great shape. The overall course was challenging and the greens were really fast. Great to see range balls were included in the price. Probably one of the better golf courses around the area.

Really nice course and fun to play. Greens were good. Fairways still a little thin but not bad. Pace of play was good- n m at e more to do with every golfer having own cart. They f HHG ad a food stand outside at the turn. Practice area us top notch. Definitely Will be back.
