Governor's Towne Club

Course was difficult but fair. Staff was extremely friendly. Due the weather the last few days, course was still wet. Greens were fast. Will play again in drier conditions.

Course is beautiful and super fun to play! I need to just go ahead and become a member! Practice area is just as good as the course!

One of the better courses in town. I bounce b/n this course and Barnsley. Its right up there with Barnsley - maybe a notch below if anything.

This is a course that I have played many times over the years. The layout of this course always impresses me. It’s a course that will play fair, giving rewards on well executed shots and trouble on missed shots. The greens were rolling well for this time of year. The tee boxes and bunkers also seemed to be in very good shape. It seems like they are doing a decent amount of work on the course at the moment. There were many spots throughout the course that seemed to be ground under repair. There were scalp marks on the edge of some greens. There also seemed to be a decent amount of erosion in some spots where the rough would meet mulched areas. Once these get addressed, I’m sure the course will fill in nice as we transition to spring. Looking forward to coming back.

Can not ask for more. One of the best course I ever played. Had 2 threesome and enjoyed every bits of course Governors towne club has to offer!

Great conditions all throughout. Definitely going to squeeze one more round in this year here.

The course was great. Pace of play even better. Some of the bunkers needed raking but I’m guessing due to recent rain they haven’t gotten to them yet. The grill didn’t have any food ready unfortunately. Not even some granola or chocolate bars which was surprising but the course / range / and pace of play were great

Best value on Golfnow! They could use some yardage makers on the course. Gotta have Range finder to have any clue what distances are.

Really enjoyed my round today. Fairways and greens were in great shape.

I played the course some time ago when it was on golfnow last time and loved the course. I played it a dozen times or so and was thankful for the member for a day pricing and opportunity to play a private course. I was so pleased that the course was back on golfnow again and quickly booked a round. I was surprised at the course condition mainly the greens. The greens where covered in ball marks not sure who they are from but it was not a pleasant surprise. Other then that I do love the course.

Course was stunning. Great layout and condition. Soggy in parts due to recent rain but nothing the course superintendent could do about that. Will be back.

Course is beat up, clearly the members don’t believe they should have to fix their ball marks on the greens.

Course has a great, open layout. Fairly straight and forward. Bunkers appear to be in good shape, some Greens need some attention. Staff didn’t seem like they were having the best of days aside from the gentleman at the checkout desk. The course certainly isn’t close to the conditions you see in the pictures. I’d say it’s on the same level as Cobblestone right down the road, cobblestone having a much more friendly staff. I personally wouldn’t pay over $55 on a week day or $65 for weekend for a round here. Aside from the enormous community building, it’s on par with most of the upper end public courses I’ve played.

Upon arrival, the staff was courteous and friendly as always. From the young men at bag drop to the personnel in the pro shop, they were top notch. It had poured, bad storms the night before, so I was stunned when they said carts were 90 degree rule. I was completely expecting CP only. The course was in unbelievable shape considering the previous night's rain. No standing water anywhere, not even in the low areas or the bunkers. There were times you could here the dampness under the cart's tires, but that didn't affect play at all. The other great thing, was the greens had vern airated, probably 2 weeks or so I would guess, but they were still fast and true and it did not affect your putting line or the putt itself. I dare say Governors Towne Club is about the best deal on GolfNow, and I will be back often!
