Shoal Creek Golf Course

I was fortunate to get a good deal on a single player tee time. My first time on this course, and I'm sure to return. The greens and features are well maintained. The carts are in good shape with GPS. And the staff is friendly with smiling faces.
No doubt the expedient pace of play was due to the Holiday crowd being out of town, but regardless it was a thrill to finish my round in 3.5 hours.

The course was in pretty good condition, besides some sand spots around a handful of greens. There are a lot of trees and pretty narrow fairways, so if you keep it straight you'll be just fine.

Love the layout of Shoal Creek, but the greens were extremely slow and bumpy. They have lost some of the green surfaces around the edges which does come into play. The range was closed, but the staff didn't mention that when I called to check on our tee time that morning. So, I was a little disappointed in the experience this time.

It was a hot day (97), but playing this course was a lot of fun regardless of the heat and humidity. The greens, t-box and fairways are as expected for a top 5 course in the state. I can't wait to go back and play it again.

Good mix of holes and generally good conditions, but really terrible pace of play. Drove in from 18 tee after 5 hours.

To be honest, the coarse conditions were horrid due to mass amounts of rain for the past month, including the night before I played, but I could tell, had there not been so much rain, the coarse would've been nearly perfect. Literally the best coarse I've ever played on.

I showed up an hour early to warm up on the range, which was closed (due to the previously mentioned rain) and they gave me the same price and let me go ahead an play. The beer was cold, a good burger making the turn, and plenty of water coolers throughout the coarse to rehydrate.

I played one of the best rounds I've ever played on this day, and can't wait to go back again!!!!

What can I say besides everything was perfect on our round of golf yesterday. It was my friend's 40th birthday. Me, him, his dad, and another friend. Perfect weather, incredible course conditions, awesome layout, great food, you name it...Shoal Creek is still the best.
Tee boxes and fairways are perfect, sandtraps were perfect, greens were running quick and smooth, the burger at the turn is the best burger in town, awesome range right by the clubhouse, rough is tough, but not brutal US Open length rough, etc, etc. It's KC's finest public course, and probably better than a handful of the low end private courses. Great job Shoal Creek! Keep it up!

Will definitely play this course again. Very interesting
and challenging but enough fairway to let you swing away. Will love to play the zoysia fairways in
the summer. You will not be disappointed.
GPS on the cart is a great plus. Worth the money!

If you are just an average golfer, bring plenty of golf balls ... Beautiful course !!!

Course was in picture perfect condition which is really impressive since it's only March!

Fairways still in winter dormancy, but decent, the greens were in great shape though.

I have never been to a more lovely place . The staff were helpful and the green is very well kept.

Course was in good condition for March and offers a good challenge -- year-round.

The course was in good condition coming out of winter. Cart Path only. 4 hour round. Some holes the pin was still frozen in the hole. Looks like Shoal will have a good season.

The course is in good condition for February. No complaints, we had a good time.

Overall the course was in great shape. Cart path only with the carts, make club selection difficult, so make sure you take several clubs with you as you walk over to you ball. Greens and cup cuts are different than summertime, so hit it a little firmer and take the break out when you can...lots of lip-out otherwise.

I played there with several friends after arriving in town that day. The course was in great shape and the staff was great.

It was a cold day at the golf course a high of 44°. When we checked in we ask if they had a windshield for sale because her cards don't have windshields I bought the windshield then the person checking ascend said wait here a minute and he went got us a card with a full cover on it. Overall the experience could've been better.

This is a nice course, pricey if you pay full fees.

Interesting and appealing layout with huge greens. Generous landing areas. I am a low single digit HC and played with my 74 year old father. Highly recommend this track for HCs from 20 on down.
