Shoal Creek Golf Course

First time I played the course, very nice ! Green extremely challenging! Great fairways! Staff is friendly, had a very nice round!

Shoal Creek is my favorite course in the area. I moved here 1 year ago and have played a bunch of courses - I keep coming back to Shoal Creek as the one I enjoy playing the most!!!

I always hear about Shoal Creek being one of the best public courses in the KC area. While I agree it is a nice course with a terrific layout, it just doesn't live up to that hype due to the course conditions. They aren't bad or anything, but the rough is very inconsistent and you'll find a lot of bare spots, especially around the greens. Makes getting up and down tough at times if you find one of the many bare spots. Fairways were the bright spot as I didn't really notice any issues there. Greens had some spots where it looked like pitch marks weren't replaced properly. Is that the courses fault? I don't know...I play another course that gets more traffic yearly and don't see those problems with the greens. I would recommend that you play the course...just don't expect course conditions to be commensurate with their regular $70ish rate they charge on weekends.

Have not played Shoal Creek in 3 years. The course has always been well kept, but now is showing real class. The northland should be proud of this course. More attention to detail, much more land scaping and the course is in the best shape I've ever seen. And I played there since it's opening.

great fairways, green show alot of play miss the fairway-lose a ball in the natural grass but fairways are generous

It had rained all morning and the course only had about 2 hours to dry up before I stepped onto the course. Course was in excellent shape! Paid $42 for a 4PM tee time was well worth it!

Great course , well maintained. Great value.. Pro Shop staff was the weak link od the corse. Pro shop staff not friendly and xould possibly ruin your experience.

Love this place! Great layout, pretty challenging but it's not going to beat you up too bad. They have water hazards on at least half the holes. The greens have some undulation & pretty good speed on them. There is a lot of variety off every tee & the course is in good condition. Only a few greens were in need of some tlc. Overall, it's definitely one of my favorite courses in the KC area! I also like the fact that I can get some reasonable prices to play here!

Really nice course. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Played it with my son and had a great time. Would recommend playing it and will play it again when we're in town.

This is a wonderful course in really good condition. A few greens had rough spots on them but over-all the course as very nice. Perhaps a little pricey, but a great time.

Normally only play in mid-mo or the lake but this course reminded me of them type of courses. It's a beautiful course and so much fun to play when your hitting the ball good or bad.

The first time playing the course and paired with a player who wanted to play the blue tees. That was a bad idea for a medium length hitter the first time around this course. This is the kind of course you need to play a few times in order to feel comfortable. I liked it but it ate me up by intimidating me when I looked at the shot at hand. If I had stayed within my means and played whites I would be hitting shorter and less intimidating shots into the greens so next time I will move up and see what happens. Beautiful course although the pace was slow maybe part of the reason my game suffered a bit.

Course was in outstanding shape, weather was great.

The pace, the conditions, the staff's friendliness and efficiency made this round most pleasant.
