Shoal Creek Golf Course

This is a great course! Pace of play isn't bad but if the County let the Marshals do their job this could be the PREMIER course in KC! I love this course! Challenging but fair------PICK UP THE PACE and it's #1

I mean don't get me wrong playing Shoal Creek for $25 with cart included is amazing. Our tee time was for 8 a.m. we decided to show up 20-30 minutes to minutes early, obviously to hit a bucket of balls at the range, and the putting green. When we got there golfers were waiting in the parking lot, and one of the gentleman told us that the person who runs the pro shop hasn't been there yet when we checked in to get our car when they finally showed up had no time to hit balls we got rushed on the course. Groundskeepers did not move or wait or frankly even pay attention that we were around or hitting ball near them overall awesome course but staff horrible as a golfer who spend a lot of money I would feel inclined that they are losing a lot of business because of that

Very tough course to play by yourself. Many drives stop where you can't see and can't find ball if off fairway. Rough was too tall for an afternoon round. Should have been mowed by then. Got behind a four man scramble and wasn't told. They held me up all 18 holes. They couldn't let me play through as it was bunched all ahead of them. Greens still showed signs from aerating. I'll be back.

I understand it is fall but at least blow the leaves away that were on the greens. Needed a leaf blower to putt. Lol

The GPS is what I remember most - rarely have I seen one so detailed. I appreciated knowing where the group ahead was - given a fair number of blind tee shots. I have no complaints with the facilities or the layout. It was fairly crowded, however - you'll do well to have a tee time.

Fun, unique, and scenic course. Looked like some holes were in rough condition with some ground under repair. Overall the course was in good condition and was very fun to play. Probably not worth the $69 they are charging for the premium tee times but I would definitely say that it's worth the money once the price drops to the $40 range.

Great course. A good challenge, even though it's fairly straight trees make it a good test of tour shot making skills. Loved the course, grill has a.limited menu, burger was mediocre and was microwave warmed back up.

The pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced!! There were times four groups were on one hole and we saw a group six or seven holes in front of us that had six people in it. No beverage cart, and wedding after with so the bar was closed. Not a fun day!!

Played on a hot deal for $35, can't beat it especially for that price.

Make sure you bring your most-trusted flat stick because there is plenty of undulation on the greens. Good mix of narrow and wide targets, as well as long and short holes. Staff is quality and the surrounding homes are as nice as you'll find ona golf course. Just a top notch experience.

Great layout. But the greens were absolutely horrible.

Course was in excellent shape and I can't wait to play there again!

I really enjoyed playing this course. There is plenty of room off the tee but plenty of trouble around the course to make it challenging. The course conditions were great with lush zoisia, cut rough and firm and fast greens. The pace of play was great as well.

Love the designs of many of the holes. The short par 4s cause you to make risk/reward decisions. Par 5 9th is full of decisions.
Fairways were is superb condition. Greens were a bit pocked, and heavy seasonal rain was probably the reason for both.

At all points of employee interaction, the staff was friendly, helpful and smiling. The only time someone offered subpar customer service was when I drove past the ranger. I assume she was a ranger since she drove past me two times during my round. She had on a name tag, but no cart flag. I waved to her both times when passing, and she just stared straight ahead and ignored me. Guess she was having a bad day. Other than that, all staff offered exemplary customer service. When I returned the cart, the attendant even offered to give me a ride to my car in the parking lot! The course was in superior shape and was quite challenging. I definitely utilized the cart GPS during my round. Shoal Creek is a terrific golf experience on all levels, and I look forward to playing here again.

Shoal Creek was a decent course with some beautiful holes and some that were okay. Challenging course with tree lined fairways, although the fairways were wide enough that on most holes you had to work hard to find the bad stuff (I somehow managed to do that though). We played it following the KC Amateur tournament and could really tell - the greens were pretty beat up but the course crew was working hard to get them back up to speed. Fairways were nice - love zoysia grass!! I wouldn't say it was worth the $60 I paid, but it was a good one time experience. I would recommend it to friends to play. If you are there early in the morning - ask for the breakfast burrito - it was AWESOME!! Good luck at Shoal Creek!

After all the rain the area has experienced felt course was in super shape.

This course is beautiful! The greens were well maintained, fairways were perfect and tee-boxes were well kept. A great course to play at! The GPS in the cart is an added bonus!
