Bent Tree Country Club

I’ve always liked this course, especially when I have a group of average, older players with me. The tees, fairways, and greens were in surprisingly good condition considering the dryness the area has been experiencing lately. The one thing, however, that has bothered me for years about Bent Tree is the condition of the sand traps- muddy, lots of water, hard packed dirty sand. And it’s been that way for years now ! Put some effort into the sand traps and you’ll have a really nice course.

Bent tree is reasonable value for money except the traps are raked mud. The clubhouse is in need of repair as shingles are falling off the roof.

The facilities for food and beer have been close the last three times I’ve been.

Please Please put some sand in the green side bunkers and grass on the tee boxes. Need a ranger to keep pace of play up.

Layout excellent. Tee box need some work but playable. Greens were in good shape.

I had stopped playing here several years ago, but it has improved enough to make it enjoyable. It is an interesting layout with challenges.

I play here twice a week. Since hurricanes a ton of repairs have been made. I played here right after the storms and despite all the damage the staff soldiered through and kept the course playable and enjoyable. Kudos to them. Greens are medium speed and well maintained. Fairways have some thin spots due to dry conditions and players driving carts through areas under repair. In season every course in Sarasota has slow play. I’ve been here since 1952 and slow play is just a snowbird side effect. This is a great course at a reasonable price- enjoy.

Bent Tree possibly in the best condition in ages. A bit wet in front of the greens but very good to play.

I’m convinced it used to be a great course a while ago. I thought it was a great design with interesting holes. Unfortunately the conditions were so poor. Greens were ok but not much else. And very slow pace

This course gives you exactly what you get for the price a decent track decent greens and for me not an overly difficult round if you hit straight naturally
