Good value for money
Played Bent Tree for the first time this season. It’s in good shape and the pro shop was very friendly. Pace of play a bit slow at 4 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, one of The group behind us hit over our heads twice and were not apologetic about it.

Nice day
Course was busy but the starter and the groups did well keeping up. Bent Tree is a local value course. During season $70 is absurd but not much we can do. Plenty of decent grass in the fairway and around the greens. Greens roll slow and typically leave a big divot when approached. Certain spots get soaked from water systems. Bunkers are unplayable. Great layout, great staff, great day.

Pace of Play Nightmare Enabled By Course
Booked as a single, first time playing here. To my surprise they didn’t pair me up with anybody, which is a mistake. Nobody lets you play through so you wait 15 minutes on every shot. Course should be marshaling this behavior but they don’t care.
A shame that the course allows it because greens were in decent condition. But poor management should prevent anybody from playing here.

Bent Tree is the closest public club to Siesta Key
Nice staff...
Solid tract...
Greens and fairways in fine shape
Tee boxes continue to need some work... Would be great to see them start a rehabilitation program and start making progress

Fair layout
The course wasn't in bad shape overall BUT the bunkers had little to no sand. Come on guys this area is abundant with sand and you can't get decent sand for your bunkers???
