Bent Tree Country Club

Know hurricanes have made huge impact but sand traps need addressing.

I have played Bent Tree several times and it never disappoints. The pace is good. The greens are in excellent condition and they have most of the branches cleared from the hurricane.

This course I believe is the best value anywhere around Sarasota. The sand traps need some work but that is mainly due to the storm.

We paid online and it was a good value. I like the course . The condition wasn’t great but we did just survive 2 hurricanes in the last 6 weeks. I’d play it again for this price

Debris was all over, even in the bunkers. Fairways are already in bad shape. We arrived an hour before our tee time, course was sparsely patronized, but guy at desk made us wait 45 minutes.

Pace was good. Greens were average speed but they still had aeration holes and could have rolled truer. Fairways have very short grass with tight lies nearly everywhere. Some bare spots need grass on a few fairways. The holes on the greens are cut nicely and flush with the surrounding green, After Milton, all the sand traps need serious TLC and so do a number of tee areas. A nice course that just needs a few green keeping improvement s.

Considering the resent hurricane the course was in great shape. Unfortunately some nice big trees have come down. The sand traps had debris in them but that’s understandable. My only complaint was a the group in front us ( we were a twosome ) was agonizingly slow with zero etiquette or consideration. We leapfrogged them and went back and played the hole we missed. Ended up playing 18 in 3.5 hours.

The back nine was wet but in fairly good shape

Some trees down but none that came into play

Like the layout and will play again
