Bent Tree Country Club

Nice course with good layout. There has been a bit of a draught in this part of Florida so the fairways are a bit dry. But the greens were in good shape.

Fairways definitely need water. Many dry patches. Many tee boxes need work. Greens are ok. Having a beverage cart on the course is a plus. Heat index 102. Resturant not open.

We were told the golf course was sold some months ago and they’ve put no money into it. The fairways on the front nine were mostly dead. A little better on the back nine. This used to be a really nice place. They’ve lost it… And, they’ve lost us.

Was in the area for vacation and had an extra day to golf. They don’t do cart fees for spectators so had to pay an additional green fee for the rider. The rental clubs were junk but to be expected. No driving range just a net which would have been nice to know when I asked if they had a range and they said just a putting green. Didn’t see it until I returned the cart. Only course I’ve ever been to where there was less grass on the tee boxes and fairways than the rough. Recommend spending the extra money for University Park.

Must not be allowed to water with low pond water. Course was burnt up bad.

Nice variety of shots. Lots of players teeing off very close together. Some holes very tight.

Course is showing signs of drought. Needs rain to put color back into fairways and t boxes. Always enjoy a round here. Greens still ok despite no rain for months.

Booked late morning, mid-week round as a twosome. Greeted upon arrival by Bryan, who was helpful and accommodating. Teed off behind very slow foursome who let us play through after three holes. Coasted around after passing them and finished in just over three hours. Tee boxes and fairways were bone dry with little grass, but can’t fault course as they haven’t received any rain in months and we were told that watering restrictions are in place in this area. Greens were fine, although slow due to not being close cut. Sand traps were in decent shape. This is a nice ‘old school’ course which is fun to play. Recommend and hope to return soon.

Completely gone down hill from when I played here 2 years ago… Very sad.. was once an elite golf course where the LPGA once played…very sparse fairways, greens not that bad though..in my opinion only it has become one of Sarasota worst! Can’t recommend!

Excellent price through GolfNow. This is a good course, but like many others in the area it's browning up due to lack of rain, The greens are true and well maintained, and are in decent shape. There is little green grass in the fairways, so we allowed moving the ball.
