Course renovation: Misty Creek Country Club underwent a comprehensive golf course renovation, which included re-grassing all areas, rebuilding bunkers, upgrading the driving range, and installing a new irrigation system. The course was temporarily closed for these improvements and reopened to the public in November 2025.

As a 18-20 handicap over 60 playing the white T's (6000 yards) this course is nice to play.

This was the best public course I have played in the Sarasota area. This is my second year coming here for the winter and was very disappointed last year in the quality of the public courses. Misty Creek is a great layout. It is challenging enough and fair. The conditions were excellent even though greens had been overseeded. The storm damage appears all to have been cleared. Fairways and traps in great condition.
It’s in a residential development but there are very few holes where houses are bordering the holes. Also no back and forth holes.
I highly recommend this course.

Nice playable course
Misty Creek is a very nice and easily playable course for me as a mid-high handicap golfer. The staff was very friendly. The course was in very good condition, and well maintained. The scenery was good too.
