Misty Creek Country Club

I have played Misty Creek for many years, mostly due to price,availability and proximity. Although there are some interesting holes, the course is exceeding tight, mostly due to overhanging trees and water hazards. There is little room for error on most holes so an errant or misguided shot is likely to hit trees or find the bunkers or a water hazard. Due to the recent hurricanes I have to give some slack on the condition of the course (downed trees and limbs, uneveness of the speed of the greens and poor condition of the tee boxes). The bones of the course are good but it needs a lot of work to clean the course up to rate 4 or 5 stars.

Played here a few times. It is a well-maintained course with an interesting layout. Played with two who had been rained out after three holes their first time there. They enjoyed it very much and are avid golfers. Course was in good condition other than a couple of greens that had patch-work fixes on them.

Only complaint is a complaint we have for several courses: the tee areas are a bit uneven. Why do courses have tee areas where you stand below the ball or above it for your tee shot? It’s hard enough hitting a driver. Staff is great and if they can figure out how to stay open longer than 5:pm for us afternoon golfers who need a beer, that would be wonderful!

Course is in good condition, greens roll well, cleaned up from hurricane. However, no ranger anywhere on course led to atrocious pace of play. Started at 11AM didn’t finish until 4:45PM. 4-6 carts at tee boxes waiting at times. A shame because we enjoyed the course, but not worth sitting at every box for 10-15 minutes and waiting after every shot.

Fairways and greens are in good condition. Some tee boxes need some care. Bunkers ok.

Stay in the fairway, otherwise you might lose your ball in the debris still accumulated in the rough after the storms. Overall, a very nice day of golf at Misty.

Course was well maintained even after all the difficulties with the hurricane. The course had a challenging layout. I think we will play better next time now that we have a feel for the course.

All things considered the course was in great shape. Greens are good and the fairways are lush. Lots of trees debris but they are working hard on cleanup. Enjoyed it as always!

We played at 11am and the course team was very nice and after we passed a foursome, we had the course to ourselves and finished in 3 hours.. thankfully because it was hot and humid. The course was in good shape but with all the rain and minimal mowing, the rough was tough and high which made it tough finding your ball just off the fairway. Greens were good but somewhat slower again due to the excessive rain. We will try and get back before the snowbirds fly down as it’s quite a peaceful place.

Course is very soggy, several sprinkler heads were leaking. Rough has very high grass couldn't find the ball just off the fairway.

Course was suffering after heavy rain and only front 9 open which I din't find out about until we got there and prepaid. Cart path only and condition of paths was not great. My father suffers from a bad back and was jarred several times by broken and exposed areas of path and a couple of holes didn't have a full path and we almost got bogged down in the mud

Although we have had a ton of rain lately, this course never dries out. The is the second time I have given it a chance for the money, but it does not drain water and they can not mow. You can never find your ball even a foot off the fairway due to plugging in mud or 10 inch weed/grass. The mosquitoes are the size of birds and the standing water stinks horribly. The only bright spot is that the greens are in decent shape.

Played the front 9 twice. Back 9 closed due to wet conditions. Rough very thick and high. They were mowing, but haven’t caught up since the hurricane. Greens slow. Will give it another chance, front 9 layout was good.

We were only able to play the front 9 twice as the back nice was too wet to play. The course was in good shape other than the torrential rainfall we had the night before. This is a fun enjoyable course to play. However, there is a lake that has had a massive fish kill and there were thousands of fish lining the lake and hundreds of birds feasting on them. I spoke with a friendly staff member who apologized and said that is the only lake on the property that the county regulates the water. On the second go around, we just bypassed the tees and played from the senior tees to get away from the stench of the rotting fish.

This was the first day open for them after Debby. Course was in good shape considering all the rain that fell. They have done a GOOD JOB and I always enjoy this course. Definitely worth going to play.
