Course renovation: Misty Creek Country Club underwent a comprehensive golf course renovation, which included re-grassing all areas, rebuilding bunkers, upgrading the driving range, and installing a new irrigation system. The course was temporarily closed for these improvements and reopened to the public in November 2025.

Very nice layout…was a bit disappointed with the pace of play and by the rental clubs I got…still a good experience…I’ll be back with my own clubs 😂

Wonderful course!
Played here with my son on a golf getaway trip. The course it’s stunning! Beautiful vistas well laid out and was in great condition. The only negative was the hot dog we had at the turn… whimpy little dog on a semi stale roll was a BIG disappointment… other than that I Highly recommend Misty Creek for any golfers in Sarasota area.

Nice layout , below average condition
The layout was a little funky. Lots of dogleg holes. Fairways were fair size. Did not squeeze you too much. A GPS device is required if you have not played. The course was not in great shape. Barely decent. Fairways were spotty and the greens had different grasses growing in them. Overall only a 3/5 on my scale. Pace of play was great. Played in 4.hrs. People were very friendly and helpful Price was too much for the course in this condition.

Nice Course in Pretty Good Shape
Fairways and greens in good shape but bunkers not so much. Beautiful sceneries and lots of wildlife. Pace of play was decent but took 4 1/2 hours with quite a bit of waiting. Drinks from the cart girl were crazy expensive and overall the price for this course was high compared to others played that were in as good or better shape and had a better pace of play.

Conditions not very goo d. Bunkers are horrible. Tee boxes not great. Greens are ok. Prices half skyrocketed over last couple years and maintenance has fallen behind.

Hidden Gem
I have played many public and private courses in the Sarasota area and Misty Creek is my favorite. The venue is unique. Sited in a nature preserve, the scenery is great and the wildlife abundant. The staff is professional and welcoming.
Best of all is the course. The layout is demanding but not punitive
The fairways are lush and the greens are true. Though not especially fast, the greens have enough undulation to provide a challenge.

If I could give the staff 10 stars I would. Every single person I encountered was friendly and polite right down the cart barn guy. The course was superb, too, and we will be back!
